And what was Andy Schwartz's offense, his show of prejudice? He crunched the Carr Report numbers and pointed out that that they didn't make any sense.

The Emperor has no clothes.
But, Clay did make sure he has at least one green and gold tie.
The only firm Watts will sign off on is one that is BOT approved.
We're back to the footdragging and delay game. They're hoping that C-USA will boot us and further weaken Athletics.
Until Watts feels threatened, he will not give in to anything.

That is why the bastard must be made to be in fear wherever he goes.
Actually, I think the reason he took the PR beating that he's getting over blocking OSKR is that he feared the report that would follow.
Well, he could always have claimed ignorance & changed his view.

Now he has further dug his grave.
The only thing that would cause insecurity in President Watt's mind is anything that might upset the junta in T-Town. As long as he remains the central target of our unhappiness, keeping them from feeling any heat, they will remain happy with him and his job is safe. One could say that he is their bodyguard and is paid to take any bullets meant for them.

High handed? Insensitive? AWOL for UAB sports? Conniving? Unscrupulous? Those are the common denominators of Alabama politics in which the system BOT has no peers - outside of Montgomery, that is.
Watts wants us kicked out. He also knows a report from OSKR will be the final nail in his coffin so to speak. Of course he wants a firm that agrees with Carr and he wants to drag this out as long as possible.

Maybe it's time we storm the castle walls?
I had dared hope that he liked his job enough that he would accept the report and use it as a fig leaf to bring back football. Instead he chose to throw caution (and his PR work) to the winds and double down. I think his image rehabilitation is right out the window.

Reap the whirlwind, Ray.
The lying bastard!

Watts knows his job is secure and that he is only going to be the president of UAB for another year or so, then he gets a new job title as president of the Alabama Health system, stays in the same office, and some other chump gets hired to be the president of the much weaker new UAB. The UAB that's completely divested from the hospital and medical school and powerless politically to stop the rape to come.

UAB as a ~7000 person night school for the new 4 campus Alabama system is the end game. A school with fewer degree options that caters to students who for some reason cant go to tuscaloosa.

Night schools dont need division 1 athletics, Watts et al want us kicked out of cusa, it's their excuse for dropping all sports to D-III

How is he able to block the firm? isnt the task force independent of UAB? Is there even a way we can now have this done by the deadline? I hope CUSA gives us time, but right now I don't see any reason why they shouldn't just toss us.

Something has to give here. When our president can't even show up to our biggest sporting event in years, there is a huge problem.(and let's be honest, he literally couldn't show up. My beer was getting tossed in his direction the second I knew he was in the building. I'm sure 100 others would have been flying at him at the same time.). The powers that be are far too strong in this system, and I don't see how we can overcome them unless something is done legally at this point.

Also, where the hell is the alumni society at this point? I'm tired of their ****. It's time to quit dragging feet.
& Wes has agreed with Watts that this firm is biased.

Wes needs to be shown the door & he needs to be shown some serious hate by the NAS members. The guy is a prick.

2 months of kicking the can down the road.
I didn't like him being on our side from the get go, and nothing he has done has changed my opinion.(I guess technically he voted for OSKR?). It's time for the NAS to do something. We kept hearing they had something in the works. It appears to me that was nothing more than a stall tactic. I'm fed up with them. If Wes isn't on our side, he needs to be shown the door. Enough of the bull****, we need to start seeing results. I see no way this job gets done now, and there are a lot of people at fault for that.
Maybe UAB will approve Carr Sports to review the Carr Sports Report03-banghead

FIRE RAY WATTS!!!!

That sounds like a nightmare.

UAB is afraid that if they upset Wes, the Collat's will pull their donation for the new business building . Catch -22
