6'9" white kid who, when I saw him in pre game warmups, didn't look like he'd be able to compete against North Little Rock. Just didn't look the part of a great athlete.
But when the lights went on, this young man did a great job. He hit a number of three point shots to keep Bentonville in the game for awhile.
In addition, he battled on defense, rebounded, and had a nice dunk or two. He had something like 22 points, just a few less than Malik Monk, who by the way, is the real deal. Tremendous player.
I don't know what Smith's future is, but if I was coaching at UALR, I'd sure look at him. He might already be signed, but I thought he might be one of those kids who will get better every year as he gets stronger and puts on some weight and might have been overlooked so far. I liked his attitude.
Good team player and very good outside shooter. Sort of like our Mariek Isom. Or a future Will Neighbour!
