This year will mark the lowest seed to the NCAA tourney that UAB has ever received. We were a 12 seed in 2011 and 1999.
Weren't we last a play-in seed?

Outside of the 1's and 2's, we have a chance. This is as good as any to be a 13 or a 14. We'll be out there ready to have fun and play the game. The higher seeds have all the pressure. I'm so excited I can't contain myself.
We will show up whoever we play.
This team just might surprise the hell out of somebody.

both Clemson and UAB were 12 seeds technically.
I don't really like the format, but they didn't want to expand to 96.
That's another bad memory- we got our butts handed to us in that game as well.
