NIU at 72, I believe only Toledo at 71 ahead of them. The exchange rate on a low 70s preseason ranking from CFN is top 25!! woohoo

Their biggest negative is that the O needs to be rebuilt. This is perhaps the scariest group of WRs in MAC history if they all panned out, Lewis, Galloday, Tears, Brescacin, Turner, Beebe Good grief that is damn scary. Its a brilliant combination of speed and possession type receivers. Now, can Hare get the ball to them?
They're usually off by about 50 spots so we should be in the Top 25 then.

On average NIU has finished about 50 to 60 spots higher each year than CFN's rankings, so these should be taken with a grain of salt. I just found it interesting how on average NIU has started anywhere from 80 to 95 in the CFN preseason rankings and this year in the lower 70s. A step up. This is one where with BC and #1 OSU on the schedule, we don't have to worry about SOS

If we play OSU competitively, then I agree. If the game were to end 54 - 3, then our SOS against the other teams will be a bigger factor.

Also, I disagree with where they put WMU.. I'm not in the boat rowers club, but I definitely think they're better than BSU. It looks like the author just threw the G5 teams in random positions.
Always nice to beat the Big 10 in anything! Good job Huskies.

I think you meant to post in the NIU vs Purdue Baseball thread, haha.
The two time recruiting champions come in at #96?
Wow. I don't agree with these.

#96 WMU?
#97 GA-Southern?

Both behind #93 App-State and others? Don't agree. CFN usually looks down / doesn't care about mid-majors anyway.

Yet more ammo for my "NIU to the AAC" argument. It's the launchpad to the P5... the sooner people realize that and push for that, the sooner we can get rolling. I really think it'd help fan support too. Playing against better opponents more regularly and better bowl berths WILL help fan support. As will the new stadium. Fancier place=more student interest/support (as long as they still get in for free)

You can argue about TV exposure and such but there is absolutely no doubt that fan support would quickly dwindle in the AAC, fans don't get excited about Temple, we proved this in the MAC

Well, this argument is going to get crushed. Please, look at the MAC opponents and tell me how exciting they are. There is one game we look forward to each year, and that's it. (WMU doesn't count because they just got decent, and probably won't stay decent).

Since NIU played Temple in 2006 there hasn't been a higher attended game at Huskie Stadium.
Don't bring your facts in here!
