This is our last season and would love to do something Temple never did in their years here, beat MAC team/s with a winning record. Looking forward to this season and beyond.

Will be interesting to see how we do, but we all have high expectations of being Bowl Eligible. This is the first season the OOC is not loaded with P5 teams. We do have Notre Dame.

Will also be watching to see who gets selected as the next AD; especially their background. We just had an assistant, basketball centric, AD leave to the Bonnies as their new AD.
Why the hats on the helmets? to prevent concussions?
yes
Offensive Line Drills

GL UMASS, hope for a competitive last season for you in the MAC. Independence will be tough.

Thanks. Extremely excited about our last year. The ruff part of 3 years independence is getting a bowl tie in. There are 5 G-5 conferences and will be play teams from 4 and the same can be said for P5 teams.

Right now concentrating on this season coming and hope we can have some OOC wins and possibly P5 wins. That way we can say in the last year, we're helping the MAC.

Here is a piece on the running backs. If Fro stays healthy, we should be top notch offensively. Kind of in the MAC tradition.

Doesn't help Buffalo losing the first team in our entire time in the MAC that could be considered a potential rival. Seems NY will always be an outsider in this conference. I predict UMASS to be bowl eligible this season. Sadly, doesn't mean an actual bowl in this conference. Again, best of luck.
I wish the MAC brass would reconsider UMass, they would become a nice asset to the league over time.

I always hoped UMass stayed in the league and that the MAC added Army, move BG to the west division, and then have a nicely balanced league for football.

Obviously, that's not going to happen.

Same for NIU. We have that cornstalk thing with B State but not really a rivalry. Well, except for Toledo. :-)

It'll be interesting to see how UMass does, they have potential. But it's going to be tough as an independent going forward.

I agree 100%. Having UB, Army and UMass make a lot of sense to me.

Temple was getting there but we lost the owls and since UMass was not all in for the MAC I don't mind losing them either.
Attendance of our spring game was 1,984. Hope they move this to an early afternoon game on a Saturday next year.

What day/time was it this year? 1984 seems to be a great attendance for a spring game that is not on a Saturday.

I'm not convinced UMass will actually walk away at the end of the season. I think they want to, but when the clock strikes midnight the realization that they are about to turn into a pumpkin may finally set it.

I think they may be hoping for UCONN to leave the AAC and for UMASS to receive an invite.

It was Friday @ 7 PM. Almost took a video as the parking lot next to the Performance Center was full, with a lot of students. Needed to leave at half-time and would have preferred the game on Saturday between 1-2 PM.

No, like UConn and the rivalry. We've never played Temple in football, but have played UConn in many sports and continue to play them OOC and in Hockey East.

I think he meant UMass was hoping for a spot to open up so there would be a need to add another member and UConn is the team mostly likely to leave.

That's the catch 22, UMass would be a good add for another team close UConn, but if UConn leaves there's less of a need to add another team from that area.

Hopes and dreams are one thing, a solid plan based in reality is another. I'm rooting for you UMass, but I'm very worried about your future.

Ya I could see students getting into that.

Our students really never got into the spring games on Saturday.
