Looking forward to hearing reports out of Williamsburg regarding spring football. I know it's a while before the opening kickoff, but this is where the depth chart starts to develop.

There are some big shoes to fill. It will be fun watching them compete.
Pictures from practice are on Tribeathletics.

+ Heald and Carlisle look huge, especially for WRs.

+ Great to see Mosley, Yankovich, Brown IV, and Cluley in action.

+ Dunn is listed as and wearing #4. Could he move to WR?

+ Barta with some catches from the defense.

Really looking forward to this season.
Especially good to see Mosley in action. Perhaps we'll finally see if his multi-talents at the qb position are for real.

You won't see Dunn moving. Only two RBs active this Spring.

That's unfortunate from what should be a position of strength.
Not the way we want to start off football sessions. I see we lost a DT (RF) over the break. Too thin there.
I understand Ely was promising and Anderson got a lot of playing time last season. Let's hope Dunn continues to focus on the prize or we'll be down to a vet and true freshman at RB. We have a couple players who we RBs in HS but we need them in other positions. No matter, this presents a great opportunity for incoming and depth players.

I'm looking forward to a healthy Donald at DT.
What happened to the above mentioned players? Or is this another one of those things that stays off message boards? Just curious....
Spring is all about finding the players that want to step up.

Heard they are trying to install a fast pace offense. If so these practices are very important for those participating.
It doesn't seem like we have a lot of D-line depth. Is it possible we'd see some true freshmen playing?

It's possible, but we have plenty of guys competing there this spring. DT is more set with Claytor and Stephenson the leaders, and Donald, Davy, Bopp and Congo all with experience. Donald could also play DE. Peyton Gryder is the only guy with a lot of experience at DE, but Roscoe, Hicks and Ahola have also played. Ahola was in the rotation at start of 2014 but got hurt at Va Tech.

I remember the Ahola injury because I had a good view of him on the training table and it looked painful. I love our interior line (especially Stephens who is just fun to watch) but I'm worried about our ends. None of them have tons of experience and there's only 4 of them. Would we be moving some of our inside guys out there?
Donald can play at DE if needed. Kleirichert is probably also a candidate to shift from LB to DE. He's noticeably bigger since fall, as is Roscoe.
I really hope freshman DL Bill Murray plays just so his name gets brought up.
Josh Dulaney at LB, had a great fall as a RFR. The development of Josh and Spencer will make it easier to shuffle players around. Colby Taylor has already been moved from LB to FB, I think in large part to create more depth at FB, but because Josh and Spencer will play a role this fall.
I saw the move of Taylor to FB. I did not see him play, but to me, that guy screams MLB. Noted the 6'5" WR from Kellam is back on the roster.
Spring game is just three weeks from today. Should be especially interesting to see this year.
Agreed, looking forward to seeing who steps up at WR, DL and how the OL comes together. Will anyone challenge Cluely. RB depth? Won't answer all this, but it will be fun to watch.
It kind of went unmentioned, but the Tribe hosted a large number of recruits at Saturdays practice. I counted no less than 6 different twitter mentions.
