Well, today is senior day. It's sad that today is Richard Ross' last home game. He's been through a lot since he's been at ODU. I'm going to miss his acrobatic dunks. There is a great article in the Pilot on Richard Ross.
I wish him and the other seniors Arledge and Ebondo well as we finish out the season. Well done guys. I know they will do well in life.
Now let's go kick some Western Kentucky butt!
#Don'tTreadAtTed!!
I went to the odu basketball kixkoff dinner in Ross's freshmen year. When they asked Ross what his game was like, his response was "like Lebron James...with a jet pack".

It's been fun
My wife is not much of a basketball fan. But she is a really good sport, and has accompanied me to almost every home game this season.

Immediately after the Freeman to Ross alley oop against Marshall, she looked over at me and said "You know, I am really going to miss seeing that next season."

Richard Ross is a special player. The Monarchs are lucky to have seen him play for the past four seasons.

We are also lucky to have had the contributions of Joe Ebondo and Jon Arledge, each of whom have filled important roles for a team that badly needed their particular skills.

Thank you seniors.
+1 to all said above. I got a chance to speak with Ross at the men's BB golf tournament last summer and thanked him for sticking around when our program was at a low point. His response was that he wouldn't want to be anywhere else. This was the place for him. He has been a class act and we will miss his play on the court. Also, I hate to see Arledge and Ebondo go as well. They have both contributed to this teams success in a big way. I wish them all the best.
I'm yet to come up with a reason why any Monarch fan will ever forget Richard Ross's contribution to ODU basketball. He's brought many thrilling basketball moments to all fans. Watching a replay of his dunk against Murray State and his fellow players' reaction afterwards still gets my mojo flowing. Thank you, Richard!

I'm also thankful for Jonathan Arledge deciding to join our Monarch squad. I'd still like to know how Jonathan overlooked the rivalry thing and decided ODU is the school he wanted to finish his college career at. He has been a terrific addition without whom our current success may not have occurred the way we see it now. Thank you, Jonathan!

Joe Ebondo is another player that has always been there and given his best whenever his number was called. Even though he didn't see the floor as much, he came in and provided solid contribution and remained cheerful and supportive of his team mates all throughout. Thank you, Joe!

Go Monarchs! Let's beat the heck out of WKU!

Back in the rec spec days in the Bracketbuster vs Missouri St

Ross! Been something to see. Thanks to one of Blaine's former players, who was Ross high school coach in Texas for hooking us up! One last BT mention. I really got a kick out of Blaine saying on the Western Kentucky game after a Ross dunk at the start. " You really don't want to get into a dunking contest with Richard Ross. He will win every time. His dunks are somewhat legendary in Norfolk". Couldn't have said it better myself.

Thank you Richard Ross for being a human highlight film! It's been a great run. And you are not done yet !!!
Thank you Seniors and thank you team.
Defended the Ted, every time!
Go ODU!
He was the biggest reason I would show up at the TED when we were 5-25.

I'm going to miss him. No one quite like him.
