That phenomenon went away years ago when we got good and the Lakers got bad. There's always a few though. Anyhow after the 1st quarter the Grizz are up 24-16. Good to see Vince Carter back on the floor.

When our 3 isn't falling ...

The team needs to do a better job of taking and making 3 pointers. The dump-it-down philosophy has our shooters scared to shoot, it's a mental thing. Need to watch some film from early in the season and stop passing up open shots for contested ones.

They aren't scared to shoot, the biggest thing is we don't have a guy who is out there just to shoot threes other than Vince. He is the only one that will shoot raise up and shoot a the with a guy in his face. Mike, Lee, and Green typically have to be wide open to pull the trigger from deep

Have you ever noticed that we

1. regularly pass up open threes for contested twos
2. almost never run plays for open 3 point shots
3. half our threes are contested end of buzzer type shots

There's no rhyme or rhythm to our jumpshooting. This team is capable of shooting better than 9% from 3. They were around 37% (5th in the league) 30 games into the season. Old habits die hard I guess.

We also need to attempt more than 12-13 three pointers a game. That's ridiculous.
