Reverse strategy going into the MAC tourney

I have felt for a few years now that UT athletics should invest much more in sports psychology for its teams. Too often we've seen Rocket teams either not compete in big games and/or fold down the stretch. Mental toughness isn't there. That's why we lost to Western last season in the bball championship and didn't show up for the NIT, it's why we lost 4 MAC games at home, it's why we lost 2 in a row to end the regular season--and that's just men's basketball. Can't understand why we can't seem to get over a championship hump.

We wouldn't win the Toledo city league HS basketball tournament this year. The last 4 games have been embarassing. Having an opportunity to secure the #1 seed now limping into Cleveland. I have been disappointed the last few years in Football but nothing like this. These guys gave up pure and simple.

It's liberating. Our schedule frees up. We don't have any obligation to go to Cleveland now

I want to support Coach K. I really do. I don't look forward to starting all over again. But let's be honest: if he can't get this team with the talent it supposedly had to play better than they have, then I'm not sure he will ever be able to seal the deal.

Lucky for him he'll probably get a contract extension now.

Coach K finished the post game interview off to help the Rockets find their swagger. Wonder where they will look?

Heard him and you got the quotes right . . . but I still don't understand what is the cause of the problems. I think the Eagles zone defense, which he did not mention, was probably the biggest issue. The Rockets poor defense is troubling too.

How? How in the world does a team that returns 4 starters, that played in the conference championship game last season, and that was picked as pre-season #1, play without confidence at this point in the season?

That was very hard to watch, but......... I am the eternal optimist and will still be cheering on this team to win the MAC Tournament. Whoever we play on Thursday will have just played two games in three days, so that's a plus. If we win that game, then you never know what can happen! Go Rockets!

Wow. Just wow. Here's hoping you finally get a Rocket team that's worthy of you as a fan. And I mean that out of respect for you. Personally, I don't think they give a damn about their fans. Been a lot of "look at me" this season and not nearly enough "look at us". No pride in wearing "Toledo" on their chest.

Maybe this will put a chip on their shoulder. Win a game and get another chance at CMU. Get by there and then u play for a championship. Do I believe it. No. But it is all we got
