Here's what Comcast SportsNet had to say about UT signee Taylor Adway as sectional play starts in Illinois:
Hillcrest senior big man Taylor Adway is a Toledo commit and one of the most talented post players in the state. The Hawks have to keep Adway on the floor because he's so vital to them at both ends of the floor. He's a triple-double threat if the blocked shots start to pile up.
My son and I shot around with him after the Ball St game. He said he was excited to come to UT - great atmosphere. He looks like a great talent.
Three different sites listed him at 6'7", 6'8", and 6'9". Guess he's still growing.

A newspaper game report last month listed him at 6'8" - the other two were scouting sites.
last year, when signed he was said to be 6-7 and growing. the staff says he's now 6-9. of course, ball heights are often exaggerated and rounded up. generally, if you are anything over an inch you get moved up. i.e. 6-5 1/4 becomes 6-6. muscular type guys sometimes get an extra inch on top of that
Dang, I can call myself 5'8" now...
5'6.25" = 5'7"
5'7" + being "thick" (close to muscular) = 5'8"
Brilliant

Don't sell yourself short. I think you're closer to 5'10"

Must be the extra thickness...
Ranger's 5'10"? I still have a year of eligibility left and now that I'm 6'7" we may have solved our power forward issue for next year.
Kurt Hall must fall under that measuring system. 6'4"+1"=6'5"+ he's thick=6'6"

Well, there's that but at least I can't jump.
it's the only way dre applewhite was 6-5 and tino valencia was 6-6
I think Kurt Hall is a touch over 6-3. About Adway, I have a friend in Chicago who has seen him play. He says Adway is a legit 6-8 and closer to 6-9. My friend, who used to be a HS coach, is 6-7, so he may have a good perspective.
BTW, look at this picture. Coach K is dead on 6-2. If you want to see how tall his players are, look at a photo like this or when he's standing next to them at a game.
