Glad NIU has to play five to win. They are starting to gel.

Same with Miami.
You guys have went off the deep end. I have watched many MAC games this year and Toledo has a great chance of winning a MACC. They have the best starting five in the league. If, CMU doesn't make 8-10 threes a game, they will struggle to win.
Toledo was far and away the #1 team in the Mac from Jan. 24 to Feb. 24. But, the moment that Joe Lunardi went above and beyond his normal duties and wrote Toledo into his bracket despite Buffalo having a stronger RPI and CMU having the better record, we slipped back into that "you can't beat us; we're preseason #1" arrogance mode that we've shown several times throughout the season. I just have this image of our team on the night our game was postponed, sitting back at home playing Call To Duty while reading SmackChats from all their buddies telling them how great they are because Joe Lunardi said they're a #13 seed in the NCAA tournament, and drinking running water, while NIU was spending quality bonding time together and figuring out how to finish off close basketball games.

Yeah, that's easily my biggest source of frustration with this team. There's going to be letdowns in every basketball season but the letdowns against lesser opponents have outnumbered those against the equal & stronger opponents. But that's also my biggest source of optimism for the tournament. Unless like, Ohio U or some stupid team like that makes a run, has to play us, and we look past them in our only game in Cleveland. Because they would.

That's what makes tournaments a blast. This seems to have been one year where just about anybody really could beat just about anybody. For someone mainly into tournaments, but not so invested in one particular team, it should be a very exciting tournament--kinda like the NCAA is for me every so often. (Some years I'm into it, some years I'm not.)

My problem with the Rockets this year is the home losses. I really just don't think the will is there. The home loss to NIU was the signature on the season as far as I'm concerned.
Toledo made 27-31 free throws against NIU in Dekalb. NIU made 17-29 free throws and lost by 11 pts. Huskies made more shots. That game was closer than it seemed. I was not surprised that NIU beat Toledo this year but I was surprised they scored 84pts. NIU beat a better Toledo team last year.

Well, my point wasn't so much that we lost to "you" as that, at that point of the season, we lost at home to a 4 (conference) win team. You can't be doing that if you're going for a championship.

I was just looking at your schedule. I didn't realize that you guys beat us, followed by Central and Western. That's pretty impressive. So, clearly your team was kind of over a hump and coming on real strong. But, ours should have been, too.
The crazy thing about NIU winning at Toledo was that the Huskies only dressed 8 guys. Darell Bowie, NIU'S best player and scorer was out that game. Bowie also has missed 9 MAC games. Injuries have contributed to the Huskies bad season, along with bad shooting. They really are better than their record but have no chance at the MACC.

Why? Nobody in the MAC is a complete team. Every team has bad losses this year. UT has just as good of a shot as anybody. It would not surprise me if any of the Top 5 teams in the MAC win the tournament. It'll be about whoever is hot on a particular day.
We are going, because it's UT. Yes, we have lost some games that we should have won, but, I'm tired of you people always complaining about our defense, it's not the best, but I still like our chances in Cleveland. Anybody can win, if, they get hot. Keep the faith, next year may be a tough year. So, enjoy the team as far as they go.

Rockets have been playing like a #4 or 5 MAC team. Certainly not capable of making it to the Big Dance.

If a 10-19 Cal Poly team could win the Big West Tournament last season, then I believe that a 19 win and counting Toledo team can win this year's MAC Tournament, which is filled with teams that have been up and down all year. CMU is the only team that has played pretty consistently throughout the year. BG, Buffalo, and Kent have all been up and down like UT.

To support my point about the craziness of conference tournaments, in today's Big South Tournament Quarterfinals, the #9 seed Longwood (11-22, 5-13) upset the #1 seed Charleston Southern (19-11, 13-5). Even though the Rockets have underachieved thus far this season, there is still a good chance that they can put it all together and win the MAC Tournament. Anything can happen!
