Easy to see why Obama threw such a fit over this speech. A REAL leader gave a speech that wowed everyone, including Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. The Dems that boycotted this speech are squirming now. It will not go well for them.
I turned it off, because I couldn't stand the standing ovations after every sentence.

Cliff notes?
No deal is better than this deal.

I think he spoke to Susan Rice's comments.

Among other points, he said that if Iran doesn't have an undeclared nuclear facility, it would be the first time in 20 years that they did not.

And that's exactly why Israel is in such a terrible place with their foreign policy that they are. Netanyahu can give all the impassioned speeches he wants, but in the end that won't impact the results of his foreign policy. Israel is losing - for whatever reason you want to argue - popular support all over the world and their leadership is under constant attack from INSIDE the state as being too unwilling to work with anyone at all.

The Iran nuclear deal is a whole different can of worms from the rest of Israel's issues. As a signatory of the Nuclear Non-profileration Treaty, Iran is guaranteed peaceful development of nuclear technology. They were one of the first ones to sign. Yet with the unrelated issues with US and other major powers things have chilled to the point where cooperation between the states is nearly impossible. On the one side, you have a religious crazed supreme leader who insists on an Islamic republic with their own interpretation of everything. On the other, you have Western democracies with their different interpretation and immense problems with the pattern of Iranian behavior. That just leads to a conflict consistently escalating and spiraling out of control. Parties just get frustrated and cannot negotiate appropriately and things are back to square one.
He went hard after the Sunset clause in Obama's deal. He spoke to Iran's history of murdering Americans and spreading terrorism worldwide. He said no deal will change who Iran is. He said Iran would have missiles that could reach anywhere in the US. He also said, that Israel if it has to, it can act alone. What the speech also did is make the Obama administration look like the joke they are, especially the fact not one administration member was in attendance. No way, no shape did Obama not get his ass kicked today.

He would make an incredible President. He is a pro vs. the community organizer.

His religious focus aside, Netanyahu represents perhaps another iteration of the world leaders that perpetuate the conflicts we see all around the "hot conflict zones" today, just like Iran's Supreme Leader and the Saudi royal family.

Yea, Israel is the one attacking their neighbors first and unprovoked. I swear your Jew hating liberals never cease to amaze me at how dense you are on Israel. Your love of radical Muslims and Palestinian terrorists is just too much for you to overcome.

Would you care to provide an example of where a liberal on this board said that they hated Jewish people?

I won't even touch the ridiculous comment about liberals loving radical Muslims.

.........but they do love radical Muslims and by that default, hate Jews. They subtly espouse this every day when they post their views. 05-stirthepot
Iran could nuke Israel and if Obama said well that just the way things go, liberals would yep.

That is at the core of the matter. Iran doesn't ever have to be vetted by the US or NATO for nuclear development. The fact that Iran can't get the likes of Pakistan, India, Russia and China to vouch for speaks volumes about their general trustworthiness. Getting nukes won't get Iran respect, they will simply get put in the same box as NK.

Iran has publicly declared it wants to wipe Isreal off the face of the planet. Think about that for second and you'll understand Israel's predicament and stance on the whole nuke issue.

Iranian leaders have said that. And I do understand Israel's fear based on such statements. My point is that if you get nukes you've got exclusive membership in the MAD club with all the attendant responsibility therein. Misplacing some fissionable material and having some rogue element detonate it in Tel Aviv or NYC is a one way ticket to a glass parking lot.

Only one?

He should have closed Gitmo...raised taxes...followed through on the stimulus to make sure it went more to infrastructure...had a higher stimulus...pursued criminal charges against the torturers from the prior administration...not followed the Bush foreign policy/war blueprints...brought more of the troops home sooner...got rid of the patriot act...

Should I go on?

Your turn...name one thing he did right.
