Can anyone give any good reasoning for this? This knocks out at least 3 people from my tailgate party that I know of, and if they can't tailgate, I doubt they come down for a glorified practice.

So they follow up a 10 win season with a Friday Spring game? hmmm

The Friday night deal was great last year. People tailgated all day (and had the rib cooking contest) then had the game Friday night under the lights

I can't swear this is the reason, but I believe there are defined timeframes to hold your 15 practices each spring. Most coaches have a day of actual practice, then a day to review tapes of practice or scrimmage. It could be Fuente wants the team to meet that Saturday (April 11) to review the spring game video.

This is pure speculation.

It could be the cost of operating the bowl is more on a weekend.

Friday is just a very odd day to hold a Spring game. Does not make sense.

I had a great time last year as I would if it was on a Monday. And nothing will keep me from going this year. We're a freakin 10 win team and you want to complain about what day the spring game is??

Really.

Last year's spring game was the best attended in recent memory. I expect a bigger crowd this year. You know football is in good shape when the only thing to complain about is the date of the freaking spring game.

I argue against playing Tiger regular season games on Fridays, because those are high school football game nights.

But, based on the success we had with last year's spring game on a Friday, I think that our coach decided to do that again.

Everybody call in sick from work that day and the problem is solved.

There is a time to call in sick and a time not to call in sick and that is not one of them.
