Not the banner anyone wants. Same record as last year when we were the #3 seed. As in 97-98. it won't mean much if we don't play much better beginning Saturday.

Congrats. Disappointing way to win it but they earned it. Time to take 3 in Baltimore.

The good thing is that what they hoped to accomplish was accomplished - the regular season title & 1 seed. Hopefully their less than stellar play is a wake up call heading to Baltimore. We've seen what this team can do when hitting on all cylinders. We've also seen this team play no D and go blocks of time without scoring. I'm hopeful Shaver can get these guys where they need to be to make this the special season we all hope for.

Excellent post. The silver lining of today might be that we probably don't have the type team to win 6 straight, but we do have the team that could win 3. Need more energy and less standing around in Baltimore. Mostly we need the great version of Omar and the good version of Sheldon/Schalk.

I'm expecting a bunch of the negative nellies to start climbing back aboard the ship again.

Do we have work to do? Yes

Do we need to play at our best for three more games? Yes.

Did our world end earlier today. No.

The College of William & Mary, CAA regular season champions. New season starts in Baltimore.

Also a week of practice and no setbacks for Dixon could be a huge boost. Dixon on the floor gives us our best defensive unit and our best % 3-point shooter. His presence alone should open up things for Marcus & Omar.

Crazy season. We need to do a roll call thread for Baltimore.

Congrats Tribe nation. This whole season rode on your trip to a packed and rowdy Trask Coliseum and you won. We'll be rooting for you in the NIT, and hope you'll do the same for us in the NCAA's....;-)

It means that this group of players is going to play in W&M NIT #3 or W&M NCAA #1!

It means there's a little less pressure on the squad!

It means a hell of a lot on the recruiting trail.

And for those of us that have followed this program for decades (1976 for me), it means a hell of a lot!

This NCAA or bust mentality is for the birds.

Congrats on the 1 seed fellas. I couldn't be more pleased to share a regular season title with such a class school, program, and fan base.

Understand your point and I am happy for the team for the season accomplishment. But Marcus and Coach have both said repeatedly in the last 2 weeks, it is not the goal. If the Tribe doesn't win in Baltimore, we will play in the NIT and try and get our first ever postseason win there. The NIT is a consolation prize and one I hope we don't get. I hope you get to understand my point in 9 days.

Thanks for being my surrogate, but I already stopped by and gave them a fist bump(i'm not a hugger). Looks good to see UNCW and William and Mary at the top of the conference. Just hasn't looked right with the carpetbaggers on top.

+1 - although he might have been our most efficient player on the floor today even though it was his first game back!

The less pressure comment is a very good point. We finished in a four way tie. We do get the perks of the championship, but perhaps we will play with a little less pressure after today. It does seem to be very negative after each loss and we have not handled first place well all year. We seem to perform better as the hunter rather than the hunted. I know we are all hoping for something special beginning next weekend in Baltimore. Not trying to belittle the regular season shared title, I know my Tribe history, too. This is our 2nd ever since I graduated. Just really hoping for more. Still One Tribe.
