at 1376 a game. But only 2 teams average over 1900 a game, UTA at 2016 and ULL at 4014. So basically, everyone in the league averages 2000 or less except ULL. I would bet, considering our ticket prices, that are ticket revenue is as high as anyone except ULL. I think our numbers our pretty accurate at this point. Considering the fact that our previous AD basically doubled the real numbers, I have to wonder how accurate the numbers listed by the other schools are (I'm sure no one is under-reporting their attendance).

I do feel a little better looking at the numbers at other schools. I always feel bad when our kids have to run out to 4/5ths empty arena. Apparently, it's about the same when they go on road trips to other conference schools.
I never thought we were last. I mean some of these other programs basketball is an after thought.

It's an afterthought at most southern mid majors. I guess you could say it's an afterthought at SEC schools, as well, since most average, at least, 10X more in football than they do in basketball.

Looking at those numbers, being second in the conference in attendance is certainly achievable. We're never going to average over 4000, like ULL, but 2500-3000 seems realistic.
I'll be disappointed if we don't average 2500-3000, for conference games, next season. I think Chasse will have a full year to work on things that will improve attendance. Drawing more than 2000 before January, has always been next to impossible, and will take a lot of doing.
It will take a culture change as well as other changes that have been discussed on the board, and on the street. It's time for a complete turnaround. As Inside has said, we can't keep treading water. At some point we have to reach land before we drown!

This post says pretty much what I've been saying for several years. It's been getting worse by the year. Thanks mjs for posting this. I couldn't have posted anything that better says, that this program needs an immediate blood transfusion. If this were a hospital, the intercom would be screaming, CODE BLUE, CODE BLUE.

And the numbers would be worse without the ASU game figured in.
How many fans would we have for a UALR-Razorback game? Think we'd pack the Jack?

No gutterhog fans allowed?

Evidently that would be the only way we'd ever have a sell out at the Jack. Put our 1,376 fans in there and the pig fans would completely fill up the rest of the seats. And Shields could present a gesture of good will, and lead the pig fans in calling the hogs. And if he does, and when he says let's all stand and raise our hands, be careful Doc, and don't raise your hands like you did at the meeting, and get caught up in the moment.
It's difficult not to get caught up in the moment!

I suspect it is for most Arkansans, to hear people calling the hogs. Sorta like for an old fan of the Lone Ranger to hear the 'William Tell Overture'. One just automatically raises their hands and starts Woo Piging, and the other starts yelling, "Hi Yo Silver" and "Get'em up Scout."
But not at UALR games!
