I am not sure if the points are final, but at the same time with a few exceptions there is a large enough spread from school to school that the final Bubas Cup points can't change that much. I'll check back in a few hours and update and change if needed.

With that said I have points added for MITF and WITF added to the first sheet. I have not done anything with the other sheets on the spreadsheet and will wait a bit longer to update that.

If these numbers hold that I am using for ITF then App State fell to 4th in Bubas and the top three schools are ULL, Ark St, Tx St, and then App St.

For all the recognition GaSo is getting in the glamor sports of FB and MBK, they are 8 of 11 in Bubas Cup points.

All of the above is also using MBK and WBK as of standing through Sunday.

I found the official results on the App State website, so my numbers should be correct now. I don't think anything changed except I noticed a tie in WITF that I did not catch until now.

And I updated all the sheets now.

AState and the Texas Schools dominated track and Field as always. We were First in men and 2nd in Women. Texas State 1st in Women, 3rd in Men. UTA 2nd in Men, 4th in Women

I was obviously hoping App State did better. The Sun Belt is a higher level in just about every sport if only by a little and in the case of T&F maybe more than a little. Though App T&F was off the last two years a little in the SoCon so this was disappointing but I must admit not overly surprising in our results.

As an App fan it would be interesting to see how our times would do in the SoCon, but I am not digging around that much. Maybe someone will do that for me.

I'll keep posting the Bubas each week. If App wins this Cup I will be surprised. In fact I think we will end in the bottom half, though I hope I am wrong and just in a grouchy mood today.

You guys still have the inherent advantage of sponsoring every SBC sport. (Everyone else sits at least two) I think the difference is that you are not dominating those sports to the level you did in the Socon.
We are usually good at football and baseball and golf. This year has been a very pleasant surprise in basketball. Our AD has said he wants to at least be in the top half of the league in every sport we compete in. Well we are going to have to make some coaching changes it looks like and put some money into these other sports for that to happen.

True, but some of the sports are not going to earn many points due to how Bubas points are earned. MSOC maxs out at 6 for winning conference. It does help but it is not the end all. If it was we would be leading in points at present, and we are not.

Even in the SoCon you guys were basically a two or three trick pony out of 18 sports and never came close to either Cup. Nothing wrong with that, just a different way to run a multi-sport program and priorities.
You are right. Some of our sports, particularly our women's sports have been bad for a long time. I hope our AD means what he says and takes some steps to remove coaches and put some funds into some of our non-revenue sports.
Dana Boone came in 3 years ago and has completely turned this program around. We don't have distance runners on par, yet, (we had no one in the 5k and 10k finals for the men...that hurt us) but recruiting picked up when she took the helm and I am hoping that is addressed soon.

Our women's team has 40 athletes. 31 of them will be back next year. I am loving that.

PS - would have been nice to have Charles Austins' son at TXST but he opted to go elsewhere.
