Dewd, friend of mine told me that Calipari seems to be interested in the position because the NCAA are sniffing around like bloodhounds in UK territory. Says it would be a dream to bring back the legacy to Westwood.

The only way Cal goes to UCLA is if Cal HAS to go to UCLA.

Cal's ego would never allow him to go to a city where he isn't kingpin. UCLA BB is great, but the Lakers have much, much, much more clout in LA and they are awful this year. The Clippers have a much, much greater following than UCLA BB.

6-8 million reasons why he would consider LA.....From this point on,if he loses 1 game @ UK...all h_ll is gonna break loose....he has reached a ceiling in UK.....UCLA can easily take over Lakers & Clippers for the aforementioned reasons. They are down! No championships for the foreseeable future and they have 0 competition out there! Would be an amazing situation for Cal! I'd take the so fast they wouldn't know what hit em!

Nah, the Cavs have an early exit in the playoffs, Blatt is fired and Bron Bron brings in Cal.

down, yet every bar on my visits out there put all the TVs on the Laker games and its tough to find a seat anytime they are on.

Disagree, the board will go into complete shuffle mode, which is when you steal the silverware. It will NOT be Coach Marshall but a shelf just beneath his caliber IMO. Good scenario for the Memphis.

UCLA could go undefeated for 3 seasons while the Lakers are mediocre and there would still be 0% chance that the Bruins are more popular...

I say: Never say never again. I remember hearing Big Jack on WHBQ saying,"There's no way John Calipari is coming to Memphis".

Unfortunately the bar is too high.....the reward is too little as Cal cannot lose a game without massive criticism. .....You must field an NBA team every year......have you noticed that Cal is fat & stressed.....it's miserable living with that kind of pressure. ....the bay would be a glamorous lifestyle for him....and he definitely relishes the glitz & glamour. ......the best scenario would be to pull a "Boeheim" and ditch the SEC tourney to rally his troops for an enormous push to the NC....without THAT trophy, everything else means nothing @this point......a very sad reality there! Be careful what you wish for!
