Quote:A former elementary school principal from the northeast Missouri town of Hannibal has been arrested on heroin distribution charges, nearly a week after drugs were allegedly found at his home.

Quote:Foust is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He is jailed on $100,000 bond and faces arraignment Friday. His brother and third man also face drug charges.

Foust was principal at A.D. Stowell Elementary School before resigning on Feb. 2, saying he was taking another job. Talbert says a tip led to the investigation that began in December.
This kinda sh*t just pisses me off....
It was for the kids! Opps, can't use that canard this time.
Heroin is some evil schit and it is on the rise. Expect more and more of this kind of thing.

Yep. I would put it neck and neck with meth and crack as to how evil it truly is.

Just another side effect of the "anything goes" society.
Key words...."Former Principal "

Ah yes, that makes all the difference in the world.

Nevermind the fact that he resigned Feb 2nd and the investigation was started back in December.

I think it's more than that. Meth and crack could fall into the "anything goes," but heroin is a little different. I place half of the blame on doctors & pharmaceuticals and the other half on our stupid society. Even a guy like Rush Limbaugh was addicted to opiates. That sh*t is no joke and needs to be better regulated.... Hell, if I ever get injured to the point I need opiates as medication, I'll tell the Dr. to f*ck off and smoke weed. I won't put myself in a position to acquire that addiction and chemical imbalance.

While you have a point in some cases nobody I know of who got hooked on heroin did so because of prescription opiates. Just about all of them got into heroin because whatever drug they were using before just didn't have the "kick" it used to have.

Indeed, on the streets it's called "chasing the high."

The real problem is little Johnny getting into the medicine cabinet and stealing mommy or daddy's opiate (pain) pills. Then the child gets addicted, and it's game over from there.

It takes a lot more than some leftovers of a script of pain pills to get addicted and then seek out heroin.

Fit, sometimes I think you're ******* retarded, how are you a teacher or even a college graduate with that poor excuse of reading comprehension? Do you even know what you're teaching kids or do you just do it from the book? This doesn't even have anything to do with political parties yet you insert your asinine comment just to argue or whatever the **** you do when a conservative or even relatively moderate poster posts something of significance.

Once a brain is f*cked up from opiates, it won't matter as long as the body gets the fix. It's more than just leftovers from a script. It's continued use of those pills until they're at the point of "chasing that high," because the fix just isn't good enough. The next step for the kids is snorting heroin. Then they "chase the high," until the stick a needle in their arm....

1: become addicted to pills
2: snort heroin
3: inject heroin

I know far too many addicts; they're no longer in my life. All addicts do is rob and steal from you so they can get that fix.... F*cked up lifestyle

I'll take your word for it, but I have taken my share of pain pills, even recreationally, in my life and never came close to being addicted... and I have dealt with lifetime smoking, pot addiction, and alcohol problems in my younger years so the addictive personality is there.
My mom's roommates before she passed were heroin addicts (in fact the woman was preggo and gave birth to an addicted baby), those two sons of b*tches stole my mom's morphine and other drugs. I so wanted to put a slug in them, but it wasn't worth it. They'll rot in hell.
I've literally never heard of anyone that got started on Rx meds but switched over to Heroin. It's always been the other way around if anything. To be fair I've only known a couple of losers that used, tried or abused either.

Don't take this the wrong way but what the hell was she doing living with multiple heroin addicts?
Beer drinking kindergarten teachers and heroin pushing principals. Our public schools are in such great shape.
I don't know how to go about discussing this issue. What's the important thing here? The fact that he's a principal who dealt heroin or the fact that he's a person who dealt heroin?

If it's the former, this news is slightly more valuable than worthless. I'm certain that every career field has people who go down for similar and worse things.

Now this is just my opinion, but if this guy was in charge of a private school, this doesn't get posted.
