This is the 2nd year in a row that I've come down to Virginia Beach to escape winter in the mountains for a couple of weeks and catch some Monarchs games. This is the 2nd year in a row that we've been clobbered by blizzards in Virginia Beach while I'm here. I lived here for 7 years in the 80's and it snowed once. What the heck gives? Holy crap! So much for global warming. :)
There was a year in the 70s or 80s where the Chesapeake froze over and a year in the 90s that the James froze halfway. This year and last year nowhere nearly indicate a change in climate anymore than the 6 year stretch of no snow in the late 90s did.
