Hey guys' just kind of a fun post here. I saw where the mid south area could get a little winter weather this weekend, and was wondering how it was gonna impact your plans.

I was born and raised in the Memphis metro, and thanks to the U.S. Navy I have been living in mid coast Maine for 10 years now. I't absolutely changed my perspective on snow completely.

I certainly do envy you guys whenever I watch the weather report. After this weekend I think I will be around 8 feet of snow in the month of February.

Rock on Tigers!!!! The world is ours!!!!

Very worried about ice. Snow shouldn't knock out power, but ice could.
Ice is the worst. I actually work for the power company here Central Maine Power. Going in at ten tonight and hoping for the best both here and there.
I think they will know more tomorrow. Give me some snow but forget the ice.
Time to head to Kroger for bread and milk. I have no idea why those are the chief staples of our diets when snow looms, but that's what people do. I would think that hot chocolate and donuts would go better with snow.

I just need food we can eat if the power goes out.
Freezing rain and/or sleet are more likely than snow from what I'm hearing. It seems like it hasn't snowed in Memphis in like 5 years while surrounding areas like Dyersburg and Jonesboro have had feet of snow. lol

Poplar Avenue is a skating rink. The closer you get downtown the worse it is.

Stay home if you can
The roads will probably be worse tomorrow than today.

My phone says -2.
My weather channel says 0.

My problem now, even if the streets WERE clear, is getting the inch of ice off my car windows, if I can even get the doors open.

February is always a brutal month here.
Poplar Avenue is a skating rink. You have a patch or two of clear grooves for your tires but it's far and few between. Stay home if you can.
