Hey guys looks like im back for my yearly thread i make, I am in direr need for a job. I have been looking for a job since November and i havent had much luck.

Ive been putting in apps everywhere that i can, I have had a couple of call backs and even an interview for an over night stocker at Kroger. Sadly i have not heard anything back from them.

My friend told me Home Depot is hiring so i put in some there, Still waiting to hear back from then though.

I do not have the best work experience honestly, That's why im not apposed to any entry level job at all (fast food, dishwasher, ect.)

When i was 17 i started working with my father as he was the owner of his own tree trimming business, At the time it was great i made decent money. But i never shrived for anything better. I worked with him from 2003-2010 He was diagnosed with lung cancer in November 2010, He was gone in April 2011.

After that it was a struggle for me to fine another job, My cousin was a roofer and he let me come and work for him when i could, I was basically just dragging and hauling shingles up a ladder. That lasted from about 2011 to 2013.

I posted a thread after that sometime asking for help and i wasn't able to land a steady job from it i was able to meet GeorgiaTiger from here who would allow me to help him out around his house when he needed help moving furniture and that sort of thing, And that im very thankful for because it made me realized there were still genuinely nice ppl out there still.

In august 2014 my friend helped me get a job at Halloween Express near Wolfchase, I worked there all the way up until November, And ive been stuck looking for job since.

If you know anywhere that is hiring please leave a message or send me a PM, Once again im 100% fine with ANY entry level job. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for reading guys.

unfortunately I don't have any specific leads at this point, but I would recommend applying at various temp agencies if you haven't already. My company uses a temp service for a lot of the work in the building due to the fluctuation of tasks. It's not necessarily steady, but the good workers tend to stay longer and get called back when more work comes in, sometimes getting months-long work in the place.

They use Labor Force for the temp service. I know we will be bringing in a batch of about 20-30 people next week.
Check your pm.
Bass Pro is hiring.
The street corner where I live is currently unoccupied if anyone needs to turn a trick or sling a little rock.

Site says they are not taking applications at this time because of the high volumes of applications they got at their job fair.
Check out the Electrician's Apprenticeship program with the local union, U.B.E.W. Google it...

You get accepted, and you study and work toward your license. Earn while you learn.

If you're clean and sober and don't shy away from putting in a honest days work, it could be your ticket to a good paying trade.

One of my kids is in his 4th year....made over $30K last year.

Have you ever considered the military?

It seems like you have a problem not having a job, not having marketable job skills and not having ideal living and transportation situations. The military would solve all of those.

That's not a bad option. I would like into trade schools and things like electrician/plumbing programs. Those are very in demand jobs that pay pretty decent and there are going to be a huge amount of shortfalls over the next decade to fill the seasoned and retiring workforce.

If you have a work ethic all those will pay off for you.

As somebody who really had sympathy for your story back then and steered you to a placement that resulted in an opportunity with GeorgiaTiger, I agree with Ned.

Nothing has appeared to change in your life.

The Military may be and and in fact is your best option.
The key to the military is timing and what job they have available to you. Your future is largely tied to your ASVAB score. Even if you score highly a decent job may not be available. Navy is graduating about 9 to 12 divisions each week so competion is tough.

nice, any more discouragement you have to offer?

My son scored in the 93rd percentile and all they offered at first was a bomb tech. Then a fuel tech. Fortunately the recruiter's CO caught this and made sure he had a better opportunity.

You need to keep up with what is going on and make sure you are at these types of events.

What are your skills?

Have you tried Fed Ex? They are the biggest employer in town.

Start looking at government jobs like muni's, TDOT, etc

Maybe your son would not improve his lot in life by being a bomb tech. The o.p. states he has no money and no marketable job skills. A bomb tech or a line cook in the military would be quite an opportunity for the o.p. to get started.

Just because a company employs a lot of people doesn't mean it's easy to get a job there. Not saying the OP shouldn't at least try, but the likelihood of catching on quickly (or even at all) at fedex is pretty slim. Sounds to me like the OP is needing something soon.
