Wear GOLD on Saturday.

First 3000 get I heart Tribe Hoops towels.

Mad Minute--they will throw out 800 t-shirts during a media time out.

A winning frat/sorority will be on the platform behind the basket.
Awesome! Great work.

All true except the first 100 students admitted will be on the platform with free food!
Outstanding! I can feel the excitement all the way down here in Georgia!
This is awesome! Here's hoping that this Saturday has as much success as the Northeastern game!
Got to have a win tonight. A win tonight sets Saturday up beautifully.
Awesome. Remind everyone that all shirts, towels and food should not be thrown on the court. Don't want to give away free points.
I Heart Tribe Hoops video. I love that the players are into this.

Did the Greek organization twitter war not gain much/any traction?

The team and the athletic department are really doing a fantastic job promoting an excellent product this year. I definitely want Tom Schalk to be my Valentine. In a straight, platonic, bro-ish, totally non-creepy way. Obviously.04-cheers
What a great promotion this has become and the cost cannot be but so much. When the administration has been asked about doing more things to promote any sport the lack of funds gas always the reason why there it has not been possible to too much. The Gold Out shows with imagination and initiative someone can promote a game and people will attend and done for a minimal cost.
Congrats to the mastermind behind this event!!!!

+1

A little creativity will stretch a dollar. Winning doesn't hurt either. Nice job by the Athletic Dept. for seizing the opportunity.
With all of the great things that are happening this year to build support for the program, there is one thing that I wish that we could really push Saturday, as well as the last 2 home games, and that is encouraging our folks to buy tournament tickets. I know that we have not had a lot of success until recent years, but it amazes me how few of even the most loyal of season ticket holders ever even made the trip to Richmond. it would be so great to have our largest following ever this year in Baltimore. Maybe we could print flyers or something.

Hope some student buses planned again this year.

Our following for the Tourney really picked up with the Mason final in 2008. That was a real turning point. Since then, we have had one of the larger groups in both Richmond and Baltimore.

Last year in Baltimore, it was W&M, Delaware and Towson that brought in the fans. Drexel had a decent showing but also an early exit.

I suspect this year it will be W&M and possibly Drexel. It would be nice to see UNCW pull people in like they did in Richmond a decade or so ago. They had a terrific following that used to come to Richmond, the Teal Wave I think they called themselves.

I expect UNCW, as long as they don't have some unexpected collapse at the end of the season, to have a solid turnout.
