Sony Pictures Entertainment Brings Marvel Studios Into The Amazing World Of Spider-Man

Smart move on Sony's part. They get Marvel to basically create and promote their Spider-Man movies, have cameos from Marvel controlled characters (Kingpin anyone?) while reaping the riches.
Jeezus, how many Spiderman movies are there going to be?

Worldwide was better for the first three as they progressed. Those all are among Sony's most successful movies gross-wise. So more SM movies were definitely coming. If Sony stopped making them, they lose the rights to make them.

So when are you gonna complain about the James Bond series?

Honestly, I maybe have seen one JB movie all the way through.

Has the SM movie recycled villains or have they all been unique?

A variation of the Goblin has been present in four of the five movies. But the main villain has been different in each (green goblin, doc ock, sandman/venom, the lizard, and Electro)
I thought the first one with Garfield was pretty good. It was a more accurate depiction of Peter Parker and a classic villain. The last one was terrible. Is there some sort of rule that requires all of Spidey's villains to be sympathetic? That take has gotten more than stale.

How hard can it really be to make a good Spidey movie? Cast someone who actually looks like they could be in high school/college. Stop rehashing the Goblin. DO NOT TELL THE ORIGIN STORY. We all know it. Stop wasting our time and money. Have him be a year or 2 into his superhero career. Use a new villain not seen on the big screen so far. Make him a true bad guy. One villain, not 2 or 3 or 4. Cast someone hot for Mary Jane. No Phillip Phillips songs.

And the Bond movies have actually trended up since casting Daniel Craig. Skyfall is the highest grossing film of the series, and third when factoring for inflation. That's fairly impressive for a 50 year old film franchise.
slight hijack, but I'm really excited for Christoph Waltz in the next Bond film
