Though an eye opener. Go through life thinking everyone is cynical and no one cares about the leaders but have seen a lot of concern from regular people for those firefighters last year and the Mayor this year and realize both made me sad too.

Met him at a dinner recently. He chatted very openly about the water crisis. Not my mayor exactly but I was impressed with the job he did in Toledo. Seemed like a very nice guy.

Heard about it yesterday from somebody at work up here. Didn't sound good at the outset, but you always hope for a medical miracle. I didn't know much about him but saw the report that Jerry Anderson did and you have to be impressed with his working class background, service as a marine and with TPD. Seemed to be a good guy and trustworthy. RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

It is scary to hear how this occurred so suddenly and apparently without much warning or symptoms that would have concerned him.
