For those of us stuck at work how is the BOT meeting looking so far?

Watt is the center of crowd

I drove by on my way in to work. About 20 people outside. I think it was a mistake to get the crowd together at 10 or whatever. Should have been out there early to be in their face when they walk in the door. Hope everyone sticks around until they leave.
Would love to see the crowd continue to grow (inside) throughout the meeting. That would certainly change the dynamics and probably make the BOT uncomfortable as the room fills with people and contempt for them.

Supposedly it's already standing room only inside.
All the local media is all here. Watts gave a " aren't we great at UAB" speech - obviously a PR suggestion to prop Watts up. all of the UAB supporter stood and turned their backs on him and held up there anti Watts & anti BOT signs. There was a lot of laughter and comments from those in of us in attendance. Suddenly we were surrounded by men in police uniforms and stern men in suits who sent a clear message.

The Faculty Senate representative was next and pointed to great achievemen of he faculty. Then, surprisingly to me at least, the spoke the the votes of no confidence votes and how the board's own charter calls for confidence in the university's leaders.
According to multiple twitter feeds I'm following, the fireworks have started. Courtesy of Chad Epps and Anjali Wagle

Word is the BOT arrived at 0715 for a 9 a.m. scheduled meeting to avoid any exterior protest. They are running from us !
Any info passed along is greatly appreciated. And a big thanks to those in attendance.
Lot of good play by play on twitter.

For real! I was supposed to work a half day today, but so far, I've gotten nothing done for following the twitter feeds. Looks like I'll be staying later than planned.
Who do I need to follow on Twitter?

Espy really opened his mouth at the end.

What was really said during that portion? There was some contradiction on twitter.

He said athletics have been taking $20 million directly from education funding.
Name a university in the US that doesn't as I assume he's talking about things like Student fees that could be used elsewhere at a university if not used on athletics. Just trying to muddy waters w/ half truths/partial facts
Yep, basically asking everyone if they want to take it from education to fund it.
