I haven't heard much on Sheldon Dawson! Any news on where he is looking to go? Is Memphis an idea for him and when is he looking to make a decision?
Forget him. He bad mouthed Memphis when he was going to UGA. Same thing for Reed with is comments before he flipped to Nebraska

Quote:Signing Day: Antonio Reed's Nebraska courtship came late, fast

By Rich Kaipust / World-Herald staff writer

Ed Rich is not exactly sure where it started, he's just happy that it did.

The head coach at Southaven (Mississippi) High said Chargers safety Antonio Reed hadn’t heard anything from Nebraska until last week. It began the immediate and short courtship that led to Reed committing Sunday and now signing with the Huskers on Wednesday.

The chain of events?

Rich said he got a call last Tuesday from somebody on the Nebraska staff and then watched assistant coach Charlton Warren walk into his office the next morning. By Friday, Reed was on a plane for Lincoln, not yet with a Husker offer but hopeful.

Rich said all he knows was that Warren got a tip from someone — he’s not sure who — and then watched some Reed film. Soon the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder would be de-committing from the University of Memphis, just a few miles up the road from Southaven.

“They just told somebody they were looking for players,” Reed said.

Nebraska is getting a “defensive athlete” who could be tried at safety, linebacker or a nickel or dime role. Reed was an all-district safety as a senior and four-year contributor for Southaven.

“I kind of felt all along that Memphis was getting a steal,” Rich said. “The thing that always stood out with him is instincts and knowledge of the game.”

Rich is still amazed how fast it all changed. Not surprised, though, that the Huskers were able to complete the deal in such short order.

“The Nebraska tradition will pull a kid pretty quick,” he said.

Not saying anything bad but how he commented on how easy it was to flip.
