Wofford 2014-2015 Schedule

Wofford 2014-2015 Roster

Wofford Message Board
Prediction:

Our boys come out blazing. Few speedbumps, but we settle down and play our game, and hold our own.

Whoever misses a jumper gets jerked out of the game and Bartow never allows Rashawn to find his rhythm.

Score is tight going into the last 4 minutes, yet Bartow switches to a half-court game.

Have to start fouling in the last minute. Lose by 8.

Bartow. Must. Go.
Huge game tomorrow. I hope the guys are ready!
Post from the Wofford Board

I bet you weren't aware of all of our "dirty play"

Sometime I like to look at other teams' message boards to see what they have to say about us. And I have to say that a lot of it is not complimentary. A lot of folks are not that fond of us. That's OK. I guess that comes with the territory when you have some success. They make fun of our gym. That's OK too. We win in it and it gives us a nice home court advantage, and besides all that, we are getting a new one. But one thing I don't like is when they accuse our players and coach of foul or dirty play. ETSU and WCU in particular complained that we got away with a lot of questionaable tactics and overly physical play. I call BS and they know it's BS when they type it. They are just whining. I can't help but wonder if some of these folks are still bitter about that rejection letter they once got from Wofford College back in the day. They are certainly living in the past at any rate. To them we are still an NAIA school that they should beat into submission. When we lost a lot of games in the past I never once blamed it on another team's "dirty play". I knew it was simply because we needed to get better and that's what I (perhaps even too bluntly) said. They need to just accept that we have a better team than they do right now in the present and that they need to do some work to catch up with us in the future. But mainly they need to stop trying to create some false image of us as a dirty team because really nothing could be farther from the truth. Our guys play hard but they always play clean. And they are good guys and good students who actually graduate, unlike a lot of the players at some schools...cough, ETSU, cough, WCU, cough. I know my little rant might not really have been necessary, but I feel better now for posting it!

Uninformed post through and through, especially the comment implying that we have inferior student-athletes.
What a a%%hole he comes over here and one minute he is jerk like in the post above the next he is oh I didn't mean it, I just get worked up. Two faced punk, he reps the basketball team well he posts likes they play, dirty.
It's the radiation. Homer W. Simpson works at a nuclear plant. (The W is for Wofford. That will show him.)
Doesn't take long to get a good Hate on in a new conference, does it?

My "favorite" Wofford player is Eric Garcia who specializes in hooking an opponent's arm or leg and crying to the officials for a foul call.

Even the Wofford announcers were laughing about that tactic in the last game. It worked the first time when he got a call on an astonished Desonta Bradford (welcome to D1, freshman). But he didn't get the call grabbing an opponent's leg from the floor down the stretch.
Wofford: For kids not quite good enough to play at Davidson and not quite smart enough to get into Furman.
Wofford: At least we're not Upstate.
Wofford: It's better than Elon!
Tim Smith once told me that lily white Davidson had the dirtiest players he's ever played against - dirtier than pickup games in his hometown of Newport News.

It looks as though Wofford's vying for the dirty title.

I always thought Davidson played dirty whenever we played them. Part of the reason I never liked them then and still don't like them now.
I hope everybody comes out to this one!

They did and still do. Davidson and Belmont both played that way. Wofford I guess thinks they should try to be the new Davidson. The problem is ETSU doesn't have a Dillion Sneed to put a kid on the ground a few times. ETSU misses that type of player more than anything.

Or even a Ben Rhoda or Ryan Lawson, they weren't that big but they would scrap.

Had either of those two played anywhere else, I would've hated them with the fire of 1000 hells. They were ours so they were awesome. Rhoda's really the one that got under that kid's skin against Kennesaw. Dillion pushed him over the edge. I miss that group. Hell I miss any of those groups that could win big games.
Payback time. Go Buc's !!
Both teams looking bad right now
Those boys go out to karaoke at PR's last night or something? Damn they look sluggish.
25-31. Ugly game. Big crowd and they laid an egg first half. Good news Wofford was not much better.
Biggest crowd of the year Rod?
