Pathetic
I would have to imagine that is purely tickets sold.

that is what everyone reports.
So less than 14K in an 18K arena, and actual attendance is likely around an average of about 10K?
Gonzaga played in front of a sold out arena on Thursday night, 6,000.

We still exceed the Coliseum capacity, I guess there really was a waiting list.
Ticket sale attendence is down by 3,000 this year.
UM was #10 in 2014 with 16,121. Based on 2014, we drop to #22 with 13,921. We will probably be higher than that at the current pace though because an number of teams in last year's top 20 have been struggling on the court and in the stands.
Have you ever seen a game at Houston with more than a handful of fans in the stands? I am surprised they sell 2400 tickets. I've seen games where there only 24 fans there.

Went to a game down there a couple of years ago with a buddy. We actually counted everyone seated in the place and came up with just under 700.

Announced attendance figures count more than just "tix sales", as those numbers count tix distributed (free, sold, trade-outs, univ owned, basketball program owned, etc....)
Tulsa is in first place in the conference. The REYNOLDS CENTER seats 8,355 and they average 5,189 per game?? And you think WE HAVE PROBLEMS?

Do you remember what the announced attendance was for that game? If you do, you could pretty much use that to estimate what a usual UH game 'people in the stands' figure would be.

700 seems about right, whenever I get a UH BB stream that place is less than 10% full (given that the capacity is around 9000).

I still think there should be a competition for the most depressing venue to play in for the Tigers. I always thought UH and Southern Miss were just awful, depressing places to play. Rice's on-campus arena was actually a glorified HS gym, but at least it was bright and so small that it didn't seem that sparse attendance-wise.

TCU was horrible too.

Compare the programs though...Anything under 14k should embarrass us. Anything OVER 5k makes Tulsa happy.
I am more embarrassed by our fans decision not to support the troops.

My thoughts exactly. No, we don't have any problems if the goal of our basketball program is to outdraw Tulsa.

Most of our fans are still supporting the troops. It is just the lunatic fringe that is not.

Most of our fans are the lunatic fringe when there's some good basketball to watch. And don't kid yourself, when nearly half the people who regularly fund the TSF and keep season tickets for generations stop showing up, it's way worse at the casual level.
