Additionally, is the hiring process taking so long because Ross/Heeke want conditions that the new head coach retains current staff? Would not surprise me. From what I've seen/read about the candidates, Annese is the guy (or should be).

Annese and his people are saying he hasn't spoken with anyone at CMU. Which is not to say that his agent hasn't, of course. Tough to know what to believe or not, at this point.

Butch has not appointed Azzanni as OC -- DeBord was hired! -- which some take to mean he may be coming to Mt Pleasant and others take to mean he isn't ready to be OC, much less HC.

Barry (OL coach) has joined Tumpkin and Perry (S&C coach) in leaving Mt Pleasant. I expect we'll hear about more departures soon. I would like to see a few retained: Collins (recruiting / DBs), Ricumstrict (DL), Guidugli (RBs / Recruiting) and Ben Presnell. The rest are expendable, IMO.

I'll say this: this coaching search so far has fewer leaks than the CIA and NSA! 03-shhhh
