Football. Super Bowl QB Russell Wilson to Bring Passing Academy to NIU http://dlvr.it/8Bx5mQ

Impressive.

"Jan. 22, 2015

DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois University and NIU Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Sean T. Frazier on Thursday announced that two-time Super Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson will bring the Russell Wilson Passing Academy to NIU on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

The youth football camp will welcome as many as 750 players, ages 8-17, regardless of position, to Huskie Stadium and the Chessick Practice Center on the NIU campus. In addition to developing fundamental football skills, each RWPA session promotes the mental and physical development of youth and encourages kids to develop high character and moral standards. Wilson, who attends and interacts with campers at each location, and his staff also welcome local underprivileged youth to each camp session.

Serving the youth of the northern Illinois region is just one reason Frazier reached out to bring the RWPA to DeKalb.

"Russell and I developed an extremely close relationship during his time at Wisconsin. I know the type of man he is; and I know our entire department and university are passionate about supporting initiatives like the Russell Wilson Passing Academy that positively impact young people and help disadvantaged kids," Frazier said. "This is a great opportunity for our entire region, and especially for the young football players here in DeKalb, as well as in Rockford, Chicago and everywhere in between, to come to our campus at NIU, use our outstanding football facilities and be exposed to top-level instruction."

DeKalb becomes the sixth location to host one of the Russell Wilson Passing Academy one-day camps. Wilson said his relationship with Frazier and NIU's proximity to Chicagoland made NIU a perfect choice.

"I am extremely excited about bringing the Russell Wilson Passing Academy (RWPA) to the Chicagoland area and specifically DeKalb and the campus of NIU," Wilson said. "I am thankful to be reuniting with Sean Frazier, who was a mentor of mine during my time at the University of Wisconsin. It is my mission with the RWPA to provide opportunities for those less fortunate. I know that I am blessed to be living my dream and the RWPA is my vehicle to help make others' dreams a reality too."

Campers can register for the June 25th session of the Russell Wilson Passing Academy at NIU online at http://www.thepassacademy.com. The site also includes information on sponsoring a camper and more.

Awesome news, should have a great turnout.
Was just about to post this. Pretty cool, and undoubtedly 100% thanks to Frazier.
One of only six cities picked for this camp, which will be great publicity for the town and school. Back to back Super bowl championships might bring out even more attention
Wow Wow wow!!!! Go Seahawks!!!

Prob too soon for Russell to head back to the state of Wisconsin.
wow that's awesome!
This is huge. Get potential recruits in our facilities and learn from a potential back to back Super Bowl champ QB?! Just awesome.
I wonder if I could pass for 17?

I hate to break it to you, but Madison is the stop before Dekalb on his tour.

And I was thinking if anything it might be too early to go back to NC State. But no...Raleigh is one of the stops.
Hopefully they make an exception to the age rule for Drew Hare.
Anything to keep him too busy to film more commercials.
This is why you ramp up facilities. Gives birth to this kind of momentum...

GO HUSKIES!
First course in the Russel Wilson curriculum:

Play for a team with a dominating defense.
