Shake up at Alabama or just coming home?
A promotion and he knows the league and the area well. He was an assistant for us for some time.
Siskey? I never understood his recruiting title to begin with. He was Recruiting Coordinator for us, but all that really means is you handle scheduling visits for the other coaches. At Bama, he never actually recruited, because he was not a member of the coaching staff.

Siskey has not been an on field coach since our 2011 championship season. In fact, the entire reason he got to Ole Miss and Alabama in the first place is Malzahn chose not to retain him for the 2012 staff...

USA hired it's previous defensive coordinator, Kevin Sherrer, from the Alabama staff where he served in an off-the-field capacity. He was very qualified for the job and I have little doubt that Siskey will be as well. I believe Malzahn didn't retain him so he could bring in his own guy from the Auburn staff.

Correct. I was just pointing out he may be a bit rusty, and his Director of Recruiting title is just a fancy term for a secretary.

He's a good coach though. Was well liked here.
