A 60-foot version of President Barack Obama’s face will eventually be carved into Mount Rushmore, forever gazing down from the historic mountaintop beside the faces of four other US presidents. At least, this is what some college professors predict.

Immortalized as a giant granite carving towering over South Dakota, Obama would always be remembered as the first African-American president. Nothing he does in the White House will take away from that fact, which has led thirty percent of George Washington University professors to believe he will end up on Mount Rushmore, according to a new survey conducted by The College Fix.
I don't think he will be. I don't think any other president ever will be.
If he is, I hope I'm not around to see it.
South Dakota is the only state I haven't visited, and I plan to go there next summer to see Mt. Rushmore. Thankfully, I'll get to see it before anything like this could happen.

I sincerely believe that this country has taken leave of its senses to the extent that this could actually happen.
"The GW survey size was small, consisting of only 10 respondents, but the news has nevertheless sparked a debate on whether or not the current president belongs among the ranks of America’s most celebrated leaders. Six of the respondents said Obama does not deserve a place on Mount Rushmore, which has not added a president since the memorial was completed in 1941."

Wow! A majority of respondents in a survey of 10 college professors think this will be done. 6 of the surveyed don't think he really deserves it but will get it anyway.

Let me grab my pick axe, chisel and dynamite and head over to the Black Hills to get this party started.

This "survey" is a joke. 10 freaking respondents. What idiot writer even bothers to write about the results of a 10 respondent survey? Obama's mug on Mount Rushmore is no more likely to happen now than it was yesterday. It certainly isn't going to get a big push from a survey of 10 college professors.

A couple of hours away, via Badlands Nat'l Park, is the Minuteman Historic site where you can tour the missile control center where the end of the world could have been launched.
I think once Obama leaves office everyone will be glad to forget him as soon as possible.

I don't think people will want to be reminded that the first black president in America was the worst president in America... Besides, he's just as white as he is black.

First off I pretty sure that's racist to now call them the Black Hills, we'll have to get that changed post haste.

Second it isn't a majority of the whopping 10 respondents. It was 30%.

So, yea. 3 of the "African American and Cultural, Gender Bias and Affiliated Afflictions that are to be used to generate Claims of Offense studies" perfessers think this empty suit is deserving of a place on Mt Rushmore...

So, to recap- Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt. Yep, I immediately think the leader from behinder belongs amongst that group when I see that list. Hhahaahaahhaha.

Uhhhhh, no. Not happening. 03-lmfao

We went a few summers ago and had a blast. There are a bunch of things to do around Mt. Rushmore as well. Go west to Sturgis and another hour to see Devil's Tower. Easily the coolest natural thing I've ever seen. Go at dusk and watch the sun set behind it and just listen to the winds whip around it...it's a religious experience!

Go Southwest to see the Crazy Horse Memorial.

To the East you have Badlands and Wall Drug.

You keep throwing that out there, but have yet to provide the metrics you're using to arrive at that conclusion. I'd like to see your rationale, because it doesn't square with reality.

You a pair of each on your head, use them properly and you won't have a problem.
