Has the payout been announced for the Miami Beach Bowl yet?

I looked here and I googled pretty extensively, but couldn't find anything. There were only two bowls that didn't release their payouts as of December (the Miami Beach Bowl and the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl.) You'd think they would have released the numbers by now...
I also looked and could not find payout. Interestingly, OSU, Oregon, FSU, and Alabama each got 18 mil for semifinal game and OSU and Oregon each got 22 mil for championship game. That is a **** load of money.
Can't wait until we're in the B12 !!

I'm sure we lost money on the bowl. Best case would be to break even.
The exposure, on the other hand, was priceless this year.

I know it's not cool to say this, but I think the fight actually helped since it drew attention to our win.

Also, surprisingly being one of the first bowls worked in our favor too imho. We didn't get lost in all the bowl clutter later on.
Someone posted on here that there was no payout, they gave the schools tickets to sell.

I would think that we lost a lot of money on the bowl game, but exposure was good. If there was a payout wouldn't gt to us, would go to the league and split. You really don't make money in a bowl unless your in a P5 bowl game or new years day game.
I wondered how this would work also, since the conference, along with the Marlins co-owned the bowl. I was hoping we'd be allowed to "break even" by the conference, or maybe be on the plus side from other bowl payouts.

Totally agree. In college football, advertisement is advertisement.
Any publicity is good publicity as long as they spell Memphis right when writing it down while filling out the Top 25 poll ballots.
The bowl payout on this is still a mystery. Since the AAC owns the bowl, they covered the expenses for the Tigers to play. Whatever the payout is goes back to the conference and split. We will get additional revenue for having appeared in the game. They also haven't announced what the ticket allotment was, so if there was a shortfall we may get stung, but it would be minimal since we actually did have a decent turnout and it may be offset by the additional revenue.

Winner, winner chicken dinner. As far as I can tell, the school don't lose money. The city and conference wanted to promote the event...trying to pay for the ballpark.
