UAT? They have a couple of openings.
Highly doubtful given what he knows of the BOT
No

But he also knows they roll out the red carpet for roll tide and give them every opportunity to succeed.
I won't lie the thought has occured to me. But, he said he would only take a defensive coordinator job at a bigger school or a head coaching job. To my knowledge Kirby Smart is still there.
You want an indoor practice facility? Here's two, PLUS a waterfall.
Saban has too much integrity to hire any UAB coaches or take any of our players.
Clark is smarter than that. He knows what happened in this situation. Moreover I doubt UA takes a chance drawing more attention to this controversy than had already happened. I put the likelihood of Clark to UA at about 1%.

03-lmfao For his and his family good fortune, if its what he wants, do what's good for him.
Personally, I would wish him luck and success on defense, BUT I'M STILL NOT CHEERING FOR THEM.
I doubt they do this because this would be akin to throwing gas on the FreeUAB movement. You think this movement has energy now just wait and see when we feel they destroyed our football program by years of sabotage and finally take one of our best coaches from us.
Even the UA BoT isn't *that* stupid.

Also, given how Clark was treated by the powers that be at UA, I don't think he'd give them the time of day. Maybe after the BoT has had some significant changes, maybe... but I doubt it.
Also the relationship with Saban might not be that great anymore considering that Saban looked the other way.
It would be really funny if Coach Clark did join the UA coaching staff and resign a year later to return as coach at UAB. THAT is why it won't happen!!!
Coordinators at Bama make $1 million+. That would be a good set of reasons to at least consider the job. Add in the "waiting list" of 4* and 5* players committing to play there and it becomes even more attractive. All of that doesn't mean he would take the job, but it does explain why he might consider it.
I think that Bill Clark's principles would not allow him to take that job if it were offered. A year ago it would have been a dream job, but I'm not sure he could swallow the bile now. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

They'd have to offer it first, and I doubt that happens too. We'll see.

Someone should call Finebaum and suggest him. The rectal spasms that resulted would send thousands of bammers to the hospital.
Just my hunch, but I think he would rather....

BOT might actually slap Nickie's hand and say no. But, if it would get UAB football back AND get the UA BOT off our backs permanently, I would swallow real hard and be happy for him. Heck, someday, he might be the Head Coach. God works in mysterious ways and that would REALLY be a "God thing". Clark is a man of faith, as we all know.
IMO, there is not a chance of this happening. Just like when Jimbo Fisher had his deal killed by the BOT, there was no way that he was going to Tuscaloosa, even as a highly paid coordinator under Nick Saban.

In the same way don't think Clark would even entertain an offer form UAT. I think that Clark may be willing to take another job but only if its the right fit. I'm holding out my hopes that he has faith that all of this will be worked out sooner than later.

Me too! I sent him an e-mail of encouragement around Thanksgiving. I didn't just get an e-mail thank you. He printed it out, wrote a personal note, signed it, had it scanned into a pdf and e-mailed back to me. I'm framing it. This guy is a class act and know how things should be done. I hope he gets a chance to develop UAB football into a program it had the potential of becoming before the 12/2/14 massacre.
Bill Clark will be the UAB Blazers head football coach.
