I feel confident that the donations will blow up once the programs are secured. Birmingham is not only one of the largest markets for college football, it is also one of the most charitable cities in nation. More than that, we have national attention and the Football Foundation now. Once we're on the other side of this, the future will be a lot brighter than the past.
Our first home game we need to make sure we have a HUGE crowd. I will personally buy 20 tickets and distribute. I hope others step up.
No doubt in my mind season ticket sales would more than double.
Ill address it

2) Coach Clark would be our coach and we would return some of our coaches.

Coach clark is getting paid until 2016 so I would think he seems like he would

3) C-USA would have us back in a heart beat.

That's the sticking point. If CUSA hasnt filled the slot yet I think they would prefer to have UAB back because of their basketball program. However there may be some pressure to snag a good replacement school like ULL or USA from sun belt and move on.
Privately C-USA has said they will wait on us. Let's clear that air right now.

Who did they tell that to? Are they dealing with UAB or #freeuab
Did someone say something?

03-lmfao I saw that!

Don't be an ass. It is a legitimate question.
I would guess the person told would still be an employee of UAB.

And not one that jumped ship & was paid off.
You can't have it both ways. You can't say CUSA will wait for us on one hand and bemoan the fact that we will be busted down to a lower conference on the other.

Then YOU stop being one. YOU can't have it both ways. I'll be damn if I am going to post certain info here just to please you so that people that are monitoring this board will know. There is a reason I did not post a name.

You are lucky you are still here. Don't push your luck with me. If you don't like it hit the road Jack!
Why grill the man. So far pretty much most of the info he has brought forward has been correct or was good at the time he brought it forward. He gave us a heads up on the indoor facility, people doubted him until recently when it came out he was helping design the facility.
So if he says we have a good chance, mind you chance, of staying just take it with a good word. Nothing wrong with asking, but why the third degree if he doesn't want to give too much info that he was privileged to get in the first place.

Because it is the internet. It is what people do.

Sorry you took it the wrong way. I wasn't looking for a specific name. Just wondering if it was someone officially with Uab was told that or if someone with freeuab was in contact. I honestly wasn't attempting to be an sss. Peace

* Yes they would be allowed to return.
* Coach Clark would be our coach and we would return some of our coaches.
* C-USA would have us back in a heart beat.
* We still have anywhere between 45-55 players still here.
* About two thirds, maybe even more of the players that left would return.
* We would collect money for facilities immediately.

All that said I think Watts will drag things out long enough that we would have to skip 2015 and play in 2016. Given what day the program is restored we would have one or two recruiting classes under our belt plus some transfers in from FCS programs.

Just some speculating on my part. The upper part is not.

Right now we need to hammer our state representatives to support Jack's bills. The one's we need to go after is the ones out of the Birmingham Metro area.

[I know by replying I'll bring this "breath of fresh air" comment back so I can enjoy it again.] I agree, we can come back in 2015. I believe many players would return and maybe a few coaches too. We would be short on recruiting but we would have a national fan base that might be good for a few hidden jewels for last minute pickings. Tickets sales would mushroom, as would television opportunities. Heck, we might even host ESPN Sport Center the first week of the season! The little school that could even under the shadow of... you get my drift. Ever faithful! Ever loyal! Go Blazers!!!
I'd like to see that happen but my gut says it won't be that fast. I think 2015 is a write off, but we're back for 2016.

I'd love to be wrong.

If you told me a month ago that 2016 would be in any way possible, I would have been ecstatic.

I think it would be great to be back in 2015, we would take our lumps in conference but I would be cheering "go blazers" the whole way.

This sounds a lot like Of Mice and Men where Lenny was talking about the rabbits before George shot him in the back of the head. 03-lmfao
