I imagine few would have predicted Ohio and EMU as the only 0-2 teams and BG and BSU the 2-0.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it looks like a season to pick games with a trusty silver dollar (flip).

This isn't MAC football where are our prognosticating posters can pick Toledo or NIU over EMU and claim to be 98% sure.

NIU @ EMU Saturday is probably a coin flip (although I'd guess EMU has a 67% chance of winning).
Like I said before: CMU will struggle, Ball State is clearly the heavy favorite in the West.

Did you forget your emoticon?

BSU is playing over their heads for two games. They should revert to their mean win percentage (say .400).

CMU has more size this year (e.g., Meyer, Scott, etc.) and might be much improved.

If EMU puts folks to sleep with their defense, CMU awakes folks with their offense.
Does the MAC site still stream all of the basketball games. I dont believe the Toledo game is on ESPN3 tomorrow.

The heavy favorite? Yeah 2 games in they should go undefeated in MAC play...

I don't think so.

Think it is ESPN3 + home school webcasts + a few other telecasts (e.g., local telecasts).

EMU does something nice: IF someone wants to watch ONE game, they can do a ONE-TIME purchase for $6.95 to view the game. Most other schools get into the monthly plan which self-renews... :(

My question is: Will ESPN3 do up to six MAC games once ALL MAC teams are ESPN3 quality in terms of production?

He was making a sarcastic play on his "CMU are the heavy favorites in the West" comment from last week.
Guess I just need to root for a "cold day" off work and drive to Athens

No. The MAC sold out to E$PN, so we no longer have the free MACDN.

We are transitioning from whatever individual schools did in the past to ESPN3 quality webcasts. That should be HD, more cameras, etc.

My question: Will ESPN3 be able to host 6 games on Wednesdays? Ditto on Saturdays? (ESPN does a ton of basketball games).

ESPN3 as a channel is virtually limitless in the amount of content it can carry because its all internet based streaming. As long as someone other than ESPN is providing the equipment and crew to produce the broadcast (as each MAC team will be required to do) and its done to ESPN's specification then the number of games doesn't matter.

Yep. We're the best first half team in the MAC...
