Poor to mediocre performance on the court, high ticket prices for seats other than end zone, high concession prices, and catering to the wrong potential fan base. Very simple. Chasse should be able to do all these things by February 1. Actually Feb 2, since the first is on a Sunday. That gives him around fourteen days to correct these problems. That should be enough time to get these things done.

It's like my golf game. As soon as I can solve just two last things, I'll be another Tiger Woods. Those two things? Distance and direction.
I won't be able to solve those by February 1. Maybe by July 1 in a parallel universe. Could the Borgs help me?04-cheers

I have come to the conclusion that ticket prices are not an issue until I see the end zones sold out. When I was young and had limited finances, I would have been thrilled to sit in the end zones for 6 or 7 bucks. The same seat at a Grizzlies game cost me 75 bucks plus fees. Concession prices are ridiculous, as they are everywhere. But, I doubt that keeps people home. On the other hand, $1 hot dog nights and certainly $1 beer nights might bring some folks to the arena.
Good points.
I don't know how Chasse can do anything about the performance on the court. He isn't the coach. I don't think there is anything that can be done about ticket prices this year. You drop the price of tickets and you make somebody mad because they paid more for the same seat. What they could do is sell endzone tickets and and look the other way if they decide to sit somewhere else. It seems to me concession prices have gone up since last year, too. Probably how CP was going to make up for lost ticket sales, gouge those that do come at the concession stand. Chasse has already said he is going to reach out to the students, afterall, that is where you build your fan base. And that is also something Denman already started.
Go Trojans!

And that $1 beer will keep them lined up in the beer line.

Realistically, there is not a ton Chasse can do this season. He needs to reach out to students and maybe promote some of the home games after he takes over. He can't mess with ticket prices for this year and changing concession prices won't do anything this season. He could do something, like I suggested, half-price concessions (or dollar hot dogs) from 5-7 pm on weeknights so folks come can come to the women's game and feel like they can get a reasonable priced dinner when they stay for the men's game.

Yeah, I think concession promos will help. And they have done that. Buy a ticket and get a free dog and drink.

It certainly couldn't hurt. The mark-up on drinks and hot dogs is ridiculous to begin with.
Assuming they are buying in bulk it probably costs around 75 cents to buy, cook and sell 1 hotdog. Retail price is what, $4 at The Jack?
I have also heard you can pay $5 and park in lot 13 next to The Jack instead of paying $5 and parking across the creek.
That is true. Steve even announced that at that Tip Off Club luncheon.

I've noticed that, but I figured it was because school was out and there were no students attending classes. Still shouldn't be an issue on a Saturday.
Parking is seldom an issue. The issue is paying $5 to park across the creek and facing a long walk to the Jack in 20 degree weather. Now you dont have to.
