Yes. And contacting SACS officials outside regular channels will only damage our cause. Watts and the Trustees broke the rules and conducted the public's business in private.

Do you think it's better having someone so close to the source that is obviously going to be aware of current events or do you think he's more susceptible to political pressure being from Bham?

Well here are the people responsible for Samford University .... anything stand out here? > http://www.samford.edu/president/trustee...overseers/

Putting political pressure on SACS worked so well for Rick Heartsill and Co. when they worked for Bobby Lowder. Trying to pressure SACS officials would be the stupidest course Watts and the Trustees could take. Therefore I think it's exactly what they'll do.

We can make their lives far more difficult by pointing SACS toward the Board's shenaniagns regarding Tuscaloosa. All 15 Trustees need to go for the good of all three universities and the state, and SACS finding deficiencies at UAT helps that cause.
Let them find out by Tuscaloosa misyake. Just make sure no one on our end starts personally contacting SACS members or bugging them.

I would think they'd be interested in the Guy Bailey resignation and subsequent naming of Bonner as president 24 hours later.

Just in. SACS heard and listened to Faculty Senate vote. Beginning investigation on malfeasance lurking within UAB governance. ‪#‎FreeUAB

That is a wonderful, wonderful statement for my eyes to read. Even though I've lived in the real world a long time, I still find myself hoping, from time to time, that the right thing will be done, and justice will prevail. This is one of those times.

Only time will tell, I suppose, what happens here. I'm almost willing to concede, at this point, what they've already taken from us, and then some more, as long as EVERYTHING UAT has is taken from them as a result of this investigation - EVERYTHING! If that were to happen, I know things in Birmingham would be re-built much faster than they would down there in Hillbllly Farms. An action like that from the SACS investigation would hurt them all a LOT more than it would us. I hope the SACS comes in and sees fit to exercise their 'nuclear' option to rid Alabama's institutions of higher learning of their roach infestation that handicaps them now.

#FreeUAB - End institutional tyranny!!!
I am hearing they are not happy. This makes me happy. Time to remove him and reverse this mess.
Can't continue to dangle a carrot in front of the students only to take it away.
Things are heading to a head on several fronts.
I suggest when SACS is on campus we protest like crazy.
