Why, in God's name, would the Cincinnati Finance Comittee feel that it is their responsibility to make a stand one way or the other on Iraq? Don't they have more pressing matters at hand? As if their stance will influence W.
The city would be better off if they could send a few of those council people on a long-term fact finding mission to Iraq. ;-)
Crowley (Lord help him) never got over being a hippy in the 60s. The guy can't help himself. He is desperate for a little Kumbaya and a drum circle. He forgets that he is on City Council and not a congressman. He's too busy taking peace buses to DC and the other inept idiots would waste time on such a proposal. They don't speak for the citizens on national issues. They were elected to handle city issues. What a joke. And spare we the weak and tenuous argument of "if the war ended, the fed. govt would be sending more money to the city" b.s.
I heard a report this morning that they would take a vote on this - I just laughed. This city's government is just so inept. It's hilarious.
Crowly this is not 1970 and we are not in Chicago...you are not

Sounds like one of those knuckleheads might be looking to build a resume for next year's campaign against Steve Chabot. Hey, Cranley, wanna take whoopin' number 3?
All the Republicans on Loveland City Council did the same thing a few years ago.

Loveland has some strange leadership and did't a city prosecuter go hard after a lady who owed the city ....$10.00 in back taxes?

Maybe he can get Ron Kuby and Bill Kunstler to represent him when he gets arrested in DC.
