I'd like to see Mariek play 30 minutes in a game and see just what he could accomplish. I think he's about ready for prime time, and he needs to start gaining confidence and experience for the next two years. I'm not comparing him to anyone else. I just want to see him play, and I think he could contribute more than he is being allowed to do. I'd love to see him, along with James Reid, Josh, Devonte and James W and Roger patrolling the middle. That could be fun to watch.
There is no reason in my opinion for Mareik to not play 25 min per game. He is legit 6'9 or 6'10 and can create matchup problems on the perimeter. Also as to our poor 3pt defense, I'll take 6'9 flying at a 3pt shooter over 6'0 any day. I think his upside is tremendous

I also want to see Mareik play 25-30 minutes a game. He has a great shot, is a great kid, and has size we desperately need on the floor. Right now my line-up would be Roger, JW, Mareik, Josh, and probably JT (although I'd be fine with Devonte if he starts hitting his free throws). The first 4 are clearly our best players plus whatever point guard we were to chose. I don't know why our defense is so bad, but I agree having a 6'9 guy, with his hands up, on the perimeter can only help against the 3 point shot.
