Nice win for the Rockets but Parkside did not do anything well enough to stay in the game. This is a school with 3600 enrollment so its not likely they are going to recruit high level players. And as one would expect their schedule is made up primarily of teams, even in the preseason, which are of similar size e.g. Minnesota State Morehead, Minnesota Crookston, Ohio Dominion, Tiffin, Upper Iowa, Northwood, Lewis and three schools in Puerto Rico They did play and get beat handily by Northwestern. So for me its a little difficult to determine if the final point spread is because the Rockets played that good or Parkside was a weak opponent. Probably a little bit of both. Anyway on the MAC with the advantage of getting a 3-8 Miami on the home court in the opener.
Anybody know what happened to Michaela Boyd? Is she gone, academic casualty or what? Didn't see her anywhere tonight.

Saw a tweet that she is out for the year with a knee injury. I think it said that something just wasn't right with her knee. Will redshirt.

It's a meniscus problem, the ACL is intact. A little surgery and she will be able to resume practice in about six weeks.

Isn't that her second knee surgery? She played in three games. Can she still redshirt?

Yes she can. And coach confirmed that during the postgame interview last evening.
