There's a lot of them, particularly on defense. Plus, Hare gets a full off-season as the #1 to work on his accuracy issues.
Other than Ohio St. all games next year are winnable.

Carey!
I think many of us are thankful and proud of our Huskies, me included. It does seem however, that we can't seem to get over the hump to get unquestioned due respect in the college football landscape. We are so damn close to hitting a new level, but have not kicked the door in.

True, but this wasn't the year or team to do it. They overachieved just to win the MACC, and honestly, stepping up into a better bowl with a tougher opponent probably wasn't the right call this year.

With the benefit of hindsight, I wonder if just playing Ark St in the GoDaddy bowl wouldn't have been a better choice with this team...

I do not regret the match up, just the result. I felt before the game we had a shot at an epic game, it just did not pan out. I always want the best team we can play. I am optimistic about next year.
We were more Arkansas State level, probably. I'm sure they wanted to play the best team they could though. I do wish we had a standout RB like we used to. The O-line did okay this year but there were too many failures on short-yardage plays. Kinda surprised we didn't see Huff at all after Akeem went out and Stingily was on the sidelines getting taped up. We should be okay at WR if our guys can play without too many injuries.

BTW- I do agree we overachieved.
Better schedule I hope. 6 home games spread out would be nice. More passing play options would be great.
Expecting interior DLINE to carry us next year, They will be better than the OLine unit was this year. Our young FR dbs will definitely be better. I like our team. I will miss another OUTSTANDING class, but look forward to 2015.

Our OLINE has to be tougher and we lose -3- vets, (Loos,Pitt,Brown). The positive Conlon & Ness return and I like the way they play. Myers, Ruka, Howard and couple others have to step up. Ruka and Howard especially. We might see some RS fresh play in this unit.

The incoming skills could be special. We have a lot of good players, not GREAT.
I am not yet sold on Hare. He needs a lot of improvement in his passing game. I know some will say he was good enough to win a MACC however we also struggled against some weak teams and when we played some of the better MAC teams they had some injuries.

Hare needs a lot of improvement and he did not improve much as the season progressed.
Keith Harris jr?
Chuck - did you see the Ohio & WMU games down the strectch ? Great final drive on the road at Ohio and a great run against WMU late for a 1st down. Hare has the intangibles, he is a WINNER>

Hare doe shave something. I'm not sure what it is, but the kid's tough and usually comes through. The entire year just felt uncomfortable as an offense. That seems to be a reflection of his inexperience. I'm really hoping as he grows, the offense will.

This: in the limited times we saw Huff this year he was electric. I am very curious why we didn't see more. Was he hurt, is he a complete douche bag who is continuously in the dog house? Every time I saw him with the ball I felt like he could break it and go all the way. Something seems very strange with that situation. The one thing that sticks out to me, is a few times I saw the QB physically moving him to where he should line up. I wonder if he is a little slow with the mental aspect of the game? Physically, he seems like a stud player. I am really confused why he was not used more.
Huff was sent home earlier in the week because he was sick.

So you were talking about trying to beat Marshall pretty much without Daniels, Huff, Beebe, Tommy, and Saffold on offense.
