define not pretty
Blazers won, so it was pretty.

Or are you taken this newfound fandom of South Alabama to the extreme?

Go BlazerJags!
I like that our players have found a home but I can't pull for them. It just feels forced. And far from genuine. They have Blazers but they're not Blazers
That first half was about as good as I have seen, especially from the women's team. If you haven't taken a look at these ladies, you should. This sums it up for me:

“That first half we got a glimpse of what this team can do,” head coach Randy Norton said. "I felt like that was the best basketball we have played since we have been here. We were unselfish, and at halftime I believe we had 16 assists. We had great ball movement, going side-to-side and inside out. I felt like the pressure defense stirred them up and our girls did a great job of anticipating on the back end of that press."

I guess its more like a Blazer fantasy team. The running back from this team, the QB from that team, the linebacker from another team....

If any of them had left UAB of their own accord, I would agree to some extent. These guys would still be at UAB, but so to speak, UAB left them so they moved on. In this case, I will consider them Blazers just like I do those who left to go to the NFL in the past. I am only going to cheer for them to be successful where ever they play football and by extension, their team as well. They are Blazers for life as far as I am concerned.
Did the women's team wear the Birmingham jerseys?
We got outscored 34-27 in the 2nd half.

They're not abandoning UAB. UAB abandoned them.

They'll always be Blazers to me.

It's not the players that I'm not rooting for, like I said I'm really glad they landed in a good place. All I'm saying is I can't root for USA (or anyone for that matter) with any passion.

the "not pretty" part was a reference to Sun Belt hoops as played by USA (as referenced in thread title)...
