Nice start for $$$ Fleck.
The MAC's elite football program now has lost their last 2 signature games........ You're really earning that money P. J.
They should have set a little money aside for some sump pumps.
WMU continues to be a mistake prone team. Until they get over shooting themselves in the foot at every possible turn, they will never reach their potential and they will never likely be any better than "also rans".

However, if they can find a way to stop making all these mistakes I could easily see them winning the MACC as early as next year. Fortunately for the rest of the league, sometimes it is hard to break old habits such as shooting yourself in the foot, particularly when they are in the habit of doing it as frequently as they do.
I didn't like the game and still bummed over our laying an egg, but calling a 14-point loss a "butt-kicking" is a bit of stretch.

A questionable block in the back call prevented what would've likely been a 1-point Bronco lead early in the fourth quarter.

Can we play a 7-5 Sun Belt team instead of a 10-3 MWC team that beat Boise State by 14 points a month ago?

An entire 6-year contract is judged upon the outcome of one game.

Tough crowd.
But toledo kicked WMU's butt this season. 20-19 remember that. Ouch.

Hunt didn't play. Swanson ran for about 180 yds, about 9 yds/carry. Rained liked hell. Rocket cost themselves about 3 TDs due to penalties or errors like the botched snap at the WMU goal line. Franklin was shutdown by the Rocket defense. The Bronco RB had something like 66 yds in 20 carries. The core of this team was Cubit recruits from the 2010 Recruiiting Class that was ranked #3 in the MAC.

Unless the definition of "back" has changed the call was not questionable, it was bad.
Im just saying WMU didnt get their butt kicked. AFA is better than stAte and they gave a valiant effort with a banged up rb who carried the team all year. For a school that won in OT ragardless of how we ended up there... We shouldnt be talking down other MAC teams than were 8-4. Sure we are a little better, but we a few plays away from being 6-6 this year. 8-4 is what we are. 8-5 is what they are. They played a 9-3 MWC team, we play a 7-5 SBC team.
I guess I don't understand all of the hostility that is directed toward WMU. The coach was offered a lucrative contract extension. What was he supposed to do, refuse it? And he did certainly turn the program around on a dime didn't he?
I was rooting for WMU as I do all MAC teams. Fleck is a jackhole, acts a fool on the sidelines, so I don't mind him being served a slice of humble pie from time to time. Loved the AFA player mocking Row The Boat as they were going off the field at halftime.
Actually, I think I'd prefer Air Force cadets to not act that way. People are people, it's just inconsistent with expectations I'd have in my head.
I thought with the time off WMU had they would have been better prepared for the triple option.

I take it you did 't see the ESPN news show on the AFA. Link below shows what the piece was about. Looked pretty bad when they kicked the informant out after he "outed" a star running back who either attempted or committed a rape.

You just don't expect that from our military institutions....but then again, these are young adults who believe they are invincible, immortal, and above the law.

If Campbell acted or spoke like Fleck there would be plenty of Rocket fans telling MC to straighten up his embarrassing behavior. Then would also hear a lot calls for his firing.......

Doesn't look like it was the young adults looking the other way. That's more than disappointing.

We're a pretty conservative bunch. We'd probably object to that Seahawks coach and he's a pretty good x's and o's. Heck our staff pushes my button limit with all that high-hipping, waiting for some 400 lb coach to take one of our skill players out for a season with that.

We hear that already...... From the same 5 people.

They're tired of this "mediocrity". So were Tennessee fans with Phil Fulmer. Look how much better (sic) they are since they ran him off.

Phil won a National Title at Rocky Top..... I don't call the mediocrity. He couldn't find a replacement for David Cutcliff (sp), who is the Head Coach now at Duke, as the Offensive Coordinator. On interesting note, Fulmer's last OC was Dave Clawson, who was awful!!!!!!! He was let go by Tennessee with Phil but bg hired him as their HC......

You're pretty much making my point. He had 1 bad season (2 losing seasons in his last 4), and that's what cost him his job. Fans were getting upset, IIRC. They haven't recovered since then.
