Good lord, what a weak statement.
What was so weak about it? You make it seem like the statement says "keep up the good job, ray."
Maybe the GSA president could have spent more than 35 seconds drafting and proofing it, is what I would surmise is the crux of the problem.
The title made me think the Georgia Southern or Georgia State President was getting involved.

+1
They must have told her 100 words or less.
The best thing in there is the "ever faithful, ever loyal". That sounds like someone's been on the fb group.
Get off it.

The GSA President is definitely on our side. She spoke out at the Faculty Senate meeting.

This is not an official resolution from the GSA, it is a comment from her directly. No doubt they are vetting any resolution or resolutions in the meantime.

I second this. She is a pretty close friend of mine and she is awesome!
"willcontinue" is not a word. She forgot to hit the space bar.
Yeah, it's brief but it still echoes the same feelings we have. It's not as powerful as some of the other statements, but, honestly, it doesn't have to be. Having another entity on campus that is against Dr. Watts' decision and committed to demanding what's right is cool with me.
I didn't have an issue with it. I thought it was good enough, it sent the message that they were not pleased with Watts and what he'd done...Am I missing something in that statement? I love the "ever faithful, ever loyal" line, and the quote by MLK being used, too. Every little bit helps in this situation.
Yeah these guys make it seem like she was supporting watts in the statement, haha. It wasn't as long or eloquent as some statements that we've seen, but it got the point across. It was obviously pro-UAB and anti-watts, which is a good tbing
