Do we go all out and try to win them over during their trip to town or do we let some of their comments on their board taint us and make us bitter toward them a little. Which team will be using our facilities? Or will both be doing so. How do we make ourselves more attractive to the Big 12 representatives who will be in town?

It's a message board.

A good friend of mine is a WVU fan and student. I'm rooting for them. Also, **** the SEC.

Lot of WV alumni are here, so I will be rooting for the Mounts.

It's a message board not their Athletic Department. By all accounts Big 12 people who have road tripped to WVU were treated well, so fans you meet in person are likely to be good people.

Show them southern hospitality at its finest!!

No, no, no. Don't say that. Some folks here believe they hold the power of life and death of college athletics at the tip of their fingers. Don't ruin it for them. It's all they have.

WVU is a decent place and a flagship university, although flagship of West Virginia.

As that style of school, they fit with the Big Twelve, although geography and demographics, they fit less. Any of their fans who are mocking other schools is very oxy moronic.

It is Texas and Oklahoma, and Kansas and Baylor that would be the prize for Memphis, although a WVU would be pleasant too...and would have made more sense a dozen years ago when the then eight team Big East football should have been pre emptive before the ACC raping by adding then Louisville, Memphis, ECU and Cincy to make a much more geographical and fairly strong league that would have been attractive enough to hold Miami and VTech.

If the goal is to get in the Big 12, I would think making Memphis a prime destination for traveling to a game would make sense. Offer them southern hospitality and recommendations on fun things to do while in Memphis and great bars and restaurants to enjoy would give those fans a reason to want to come back to Memphis. Being nasty to them because of some idiot on their message board is hardly a reason to act bad and shoot yourself in the foot.

by all means, Memphis should and will roll out the red carpet for anyone associated with the Big 12 coming for the game

regarding their fans on a message board, yes it's just a message board, but their fans are notorious for their behavior, especially at home basketball games....and Huggy did nothing to stop it

Why not act nice all the time, and show southern hospitality to everyone all the time regardless of where they are from?
