Would eventually like to see something a little more formal than this, but it's a start.
I'd like to see if we can set up a text based donation effort that goes into the football foundation as well, but I didn't see any contact points. I think having something like that would really help in terms of driving the effort forward.

Don't worry. They read this board.
Still waiting for that fund with an online counter on number of donors and donations given (to be distributed once the agenda outlined by the football foundation has been met. I would add that a fund for academic donations would also be appropriate.
It would and I hope that they add one... after Watts has resigned. The Fund for UAB can rot until that time comes.

Yeah, it definitely needs to be more formal. I want to contribute, but I want some sort of assurance of where the money is going. Once all that is covered, we can spread this all over. I'm sure donations will come in from across the country. Even if it 10-20 dollars at a time, it will add up.
We need Filler and Hire to quickly raise the first million for the account and issue a press release: In its first day of public fundraising, the Football Foundation has already topped the $1 million mark...

Just a point that needs to be addressed up front: Where exactly is there anything on that web site that associates the donation request via a Pay Pal link to the UAB Football Foundation that was created by Jimmy Filler, Justin and others?? I wasn't aware that those guys had actually set up a mechanism for fund raising and a bank or other financial institution for funds accumulation and holding.

I apologize in advance if I misread the stuff on that web-link referenced in the thread.
Once I go to the site and read what's there, I'll make my move to contribute. This is good news, time to put our $$$ where our mouths are. #FireWatts
Wonder if anyone associated with the Football Foundation would like to come on the air at BlazeRadio (http://www.blazeradio.org) and talk about the organization and this latest endeavor? I'll be glad to provide a platform for them. Maybe it will inspire some listeners to get involved and donate what they can.
I donated the money that didn't get spent on Operation Air FireRayWatts. The name on the PayPal account that gets the money is Justin Craft.
The organization is BhamforUAB. The UAB Football Foundation was set up to build stuff for the UAB Football Team, which will soon disappear if we can't save it at the last second.

This organization will now work to bring UAB Football back and help it thrive when it comes back! And yes, Justin Craft is in charge of it, and I'll trust him since he has worked tirelessly (for free because he loves UAB Football) for 2 months doing what our AD wouldn't do.

I'm just curious how you know that.(I honestly just don't know how to tell). I want to donate to this cause but I want to be certain what the money is for and who it is going to.
I echo Dragon.

When you donate you see it's Justin.

That doesn't help with people that don't know how to use Paypal that well or know who Justin is.

I will work on trying to get them to clarify that on the website.
Is it earmarked for anything? Facilities, salaries, scholarship costs?

Which would be all non UAB fans at this point.(I didn't really know who he was, but obviously do now)Has anybody posted this on the main board yet? We need to get this out there, a lot of people have said they would donate.
They will get things clarified.

I donated to that too... Did it get refunded? I was going to donated to Football Foundation but will add that on to it too if so.
