I didn't see a thread devoted to this or at least not one towards the top.

Emotionally, I like many of you hate to even think about it losing these players and coaches. However, curiosity usually gets the best of me. Have we lost any one other than our OC? If that's it, is that normal at this point? Should we expect a mass exodus by start of Spring semester? Is it a pipe dream to believe that everyone is holding out for a miracle in January?
WR coach to Troy. And coach Aiken to Clemson.
The miracle would need to be this week at the latest. If we could turn it now, we could save it. Otherwise, we're back to starting from scratch.
Haven't lost OC yet. Did lose a GA to Clemson though. Heard rumors of someone going to Troy as well.
Would of sworn dingbat Birdysong said our OC was going to South Alabama.

He did, and later Vincent said he hasn't been offered by them. Birdsong saw it on footballscoop.com

I called out BS (his new nickname) on Twitter earlier for trolling. His tweets lately have been links to other AL.com pieces on our topic or crap articles about which teams should take our players. It's frustrating to follow. That is, when I was.
Since we are approaching the end of the fall semester, I would expect we will hear first about those we valued most from this season who have the most seasons left to play elsewhere since they won't have to "sit out". Mullins, Long and Nelson (at least) may declare for the 2015 NFL draft. Those who were JUCOs and played this year - like Clements - may only have one season left to offer another school and could decide just to finish their schooling at UAB.

By the end of this month, any who are thinking transfer will probably be gone so they can get ready for their next school's spring practice. Good luck and many thanks to them all.
Coach Clark tweeted this the other day:

Also, his last tweet doesn't have the #UABFootball hashtag.
Right now, I believe it's a dream.

I like the thought that this will be fixed immediately and that everyone will come back together, but, if nothing else, Dr. Watts will stall this just long enough to ensure that won't be the case. Players that are given the chance at other schools will want to be available for spring practice, and coaches that are being hired need to hit the ground running for a lot of the schools that got them. UAB is already being replaced on schedules. I love Coach Clark, but, for him and his family's sake, I don't want him to be in a holding pattern because of the same liar responsible for ending what he and others fought to put together.

Long story short, I don't believe we can recover the team. One day, in the future, we're going to get the team(s) reinstated and collectively ensure that something like this never happens again, but, by the time that happens, Coach Clark, his staff, and their families, deserve to be somewhere they are valued and supported by the parties involved. If that's UAB, I'll be elated. If that's somewhere else, then I'll be a fan of wherever it is.
Yeah. This version of Blazer football is done. Something might happen that somehow lets us revive the program quickly, but we have to let these guys move on. Anything else isn't fair to them. They've been treated shabbily enough, we need to let go with good grace and wish them well.
These coaches and players are too good to be stuck here at UAB. They deserve a better, much better, situation.

UAB has let them down in a devastating way.

He is already recruiting for South Alabama and they are in the process of moving.
So it goes and we bid a 2015 championship caliber coaching staff and team farewell and good luck. Our last chance of keeping this coach and team died today when the faculty no confidence vote was delayed til after the holidaus. Perhaps it was the best decision, but there will be few team members remaining in January.

Maybe not. We have a few days. We may lose some assistants, but we have Clark and the players still for now.

I've seen it too many times not just in sports, but life in general, no matter how much some may love a certain thing or someone, or place, if you're mistreated and made to feel as if you're less than nothing in that setting, more times than not, you're going to try and change your circumstances one way or another. We had a great thing emerging with our football team, the bastages behind the scenes knew this, and this is how petty, arrogant, determined and shortsighted they were in their endeavors to ruin it all, no matter how many people it hurt. Their inner essence was on display for the entire nation to see this time, they only saw us all as "collateral damage"...Their time to hit the canvas face first may very well be on the next horizon. Starting with the Coward Ray Watts! Paul Tyrant Jr, hopefully, to follow.

It does now...
Think there is any chance players and coaches are holding out some hope?

Yes. But it is getting late.
