I saw over on facebook that Watts was meeting tonight with current and former NAS board members...anyone have the skinny on that?

Also, in the same place, I saw that he met with former board presidents last night and "it wasn't pretty" and that "Ken Jackson should be everyone's hero after last night."

Does anyone have a context for those statements?
I thought the NAS was open to alums and was at 5:30 tonight?

I dont have any information pertaining to any meetings, but I can tell you with certainty that at least 2 former Presidents of the NAS other than Mr Jackson also are completely dismayed at what has happened to UAB football.
What is at 4:30?
A couple of days ago, I heard/saw a very reputable sports analyst state emphatically that he firmly believes that behind the scenes, UAB boosters and contributors are involved with negotiation in hopes that Dr. Watts will come to a decision to re-instate UAB Football, Rifle Team, and Bowling
Would not change a thing to me in regards to him selling out though.

I would still ask & work towards his resignation - unless he spilled the beans on everything.
Hopefully, the dropping of the other (bleeping) shoe! Right on top of Watts's fat-a**ed head!

You saw nothing. That post didn't happen.

Is that the same Ken Jackson that funded Remy's Dog Park at Red Mountain by himself?

If they couldn't talk sense into him the month before he did this, I don't see how they could now. It is odd that most of these guys have been very quiet since this announcement though.

Me either. He's dead to UAB as far as I'm concerned, no compromise with him, he has got to go, whether our teams are fully restored or not. Should never have pulled that trigger in the first place. He's not going to sing on them, he's too testicularly challenged.

Given that Saturday/Sunday they publicly called two of the biggest boosters/donors liars, I find that report either hard to believe or out of date.
I met Ken Jackson when he was a member of the now-defunct Alabama Zoological Society board. He did good work for the Birmingham Zoo. He likes animal causes and UAB, even then. He did good on that board when many others on it were not working for the Zoo's best interests.

Yes

Ken Jackson was already my hero. Good guy.
Meeting starts at 5:30pm and is supposed to be a secret, so I'm told. NAS board members passed and present are the only ones invited. Heavily presumed they are talking about football. Plan on facebook was to protest, but not let it hit social media (or message boards) until right..... now!

People didn't want to give security detail a huge head start.
Which Board? The junior board or the senior board? My buddy who is on the junior board had no idea about the meeting.

Not sure. I'll check facebook.

Edit: Past presidents also involved. All calling NAS are being told there is no meeting. Super secret.

I know one of the senior board members and he claimed they were working on something in case the football team was disbanded. But, as to what that is, I have no idea.
Is it so "super secret" that it doesn't actually exist?
