you guys may want to start following recruiting this year if you don't already. It looks like Ole Miss is really going to have a great year. I mean we just got a committment from a reciever who had an offer from Miami (I may have already shared that). Many guys who would normally not even give Ole Miss the time of day are intrested, and things look really good! I will plug the site I am a member of again, because they really stay on top of recruiting and the happenings at Ole Miss. Check it out, it's worth the 6 bucks a month, trust me.

I know I'll get a lot of backlash for this but the last time I checked Ole Miss was ranked 49th, right above Vanderbilt, in recruiting.
When you said they are doing well in recruiting, I'm not sure if you meant relative to what you thought they would do or relative to the rest of the SEC.
Anyways, good luck in your bowl game against OSU and for the sake of the SEC I hope you guys rise in the recruiting poles.www.rivals.com
if you would improve your reading comprehension.....I said we were in on a lot of guys that we normally wouldn't be in on. plus, recruiting rankings mean nothing, ask State. Ranking means nothing until they sign on the dotted line, and even then if you went out and signed great players you didn't need, or can't be coached, you have done nothing. Ole Miss is meeting it's needs with solid and intellegent young student atheletes.
Thanks for the well wishes in the bowl, same to you. See your ****** in red stick next year.

Theres nothing wrong with my reading comprehension...thank you very much. You clearly stated that it looks like Ole Miss is going to have a great year, and I was responding to that specific comment. Maybe its you that needs to improve on the reading comprehension
As far as rankings go, you're are right about rankings not always meaning much. But in some instances it does. If you look at the teams that have had some of the top recruiting for the last few years, you'll find a lot of them doing fairly well right now(including LSU). Now of course there are teams that had good recruiting that arent doing so well. It all depends on whats done with the talent by the coaching. I think that it is no coincident that LSU has had top recruiting for the last few years and they are doing so well right now.
To further prove my point, take Ole Miss this year. Ole Miss has good coaching(IMO) but lack of depth and talent. That is an example of how good coaching can only take you so far without the talent. Ole Miss had a great year but I think if they had more talent than they have, they could have taken the SEC easily.
On the same token, all the talent in the world doesnt help if the coaching stinks.(i.e. Florida)
Florida has had top notch recruiting for the past few years but Zook(and his staff) just hasnt found the most efficient way to utilize that talent. Obviously it takes a combination of good talent and coaching to make it to the top. Just dont overlook recruiting rankings....they play a big part.
lsu, man, I won't even go there about the reading comp. As for the lack of talent on Ole Miss. I beg to differ on the offensive side of the ball. I think Ole MIss has one of if not the best recieving corps in the SEC. The OLine wasn't dominant, but did what it took, and the running backs had a huge year compared to last year. However, I couldn't agree with you more on the defensive side of the ball. Our D Line will be much better next year I feel, even with the loss of Jesse Mitchell.
Looks like another bag of trash that might need taking out!
I don't think these LSU fockers will be over here talking trash after Oklahoma whips their arses 69-17 in the Sugar Bowl!
Geaux Sooners!

I don't think the Sooners will whip the Tiggers
that bad, but I would get a stomach ache from laughing too hard if that does happen. I do think it will be a fairly close game for 3 quarters, but the Sooners will prove to be too much for the still overrated pukes from the bayou.
Boomer Sooner!!!! Go Trojans!!!!
I tell you what, 10, I sure as hell wouldn't want to be playing OU coming off of a loss, an arse whooping-loss!
BTW, I got my Cotton Bowl tickets today. I'm in the nosebleed section. We need to hook up over there in Dallas to tailgate, party, talk Rebel football, whatnot!
I got your cell number and before the big game I'll email you mine and EBR's.
I had a delivery from FedEx today, but no Cotton Bowl Tickets?? Usually I get stuff from Ole Miss the day before the Jacktown folks!?

Haven't gotten my tix yet, but definitely call me, brotha Dio!

Dont you people ever get tired of making these bunk predictions, they look so stupid when the game is over and it didnt turn out how you called it. We heard the same thing before the Arkansas and UGA game. We all know what the outcome of those games were....now....hush
LSU

LSU

I concur
I don't know about the "lack of talent or depth on Ole Miss' football team this year...give or take a couple of plays and we would have been playing in the SEC Championship game instead of LSU....
Travis Blanchard would have scored "untouched" if the officials hadn't blown the whistle...
If Nichols had of kicked those two field goals - only missed one prior to the LSU game and "IF" Chris Collins didn't step out of bounds, we would have had 1st and goal from the two yard line. The very worst we would have gotten would have been three points. (Pretty good for a team that no one gave any credit to before the season started, since we were picked to finish last or next to last by all the SEC coaches.) I think we did a great job against ya'll and all your TOP recruiting classes and us being just "poor little ol' insignificant Ole Miss.
Again, LSU - 03, Kiss My :arse:!!!!

If.....If.....If.....If......coulda.....woulda.....shoulda
"If" I would have gotten one more diamond card, I coulda had a flush.
"If" I was a few inches taller I would be able to dunk.
"If"all of LSU's players would have all of a sudden came down with the flu, Ole Miss may have
won
Ifs are for sore losers.

And you just used it 8 times....

Read my message again carefully. I said good recruiting doesnt ALWAYS mean much. There are exceptions.
As for Texas, they are usually a force year in year out. Everyone has down seasons but for the most part their good recruiting has served them well.
The fat lady is warming up her vocal chords.
By the way, it wouldn't bother me, either, LSU01-03.
